July & August delivered some incredible weather for our trip north west to Arisaig. But let’s be honest—you can’t drive past Tyndrum without stopping at the . Kids grab their sweets, and dad goes straight for the whisky! High season was in full swing, but the selection of independent bottlings was top-tier. One bottle immediately caught my eye: a Glenglassaugh at a price you just don’t see every day. Sitting right on the Moray coast, this Victorian distillery is a bit special—its seaside warehouses age the casks right by the ocean, and the mineral-rich water passes through limestone rather than traditional spring supplies. Bought strictly for personal consumption because single-cask/Indy Glenglassaugh is such a rare find. Even more exciting: Charlie Wilson has another bottle from the distillery coming up, and we can’t wait to compare the two side-by-side! Huge thanks to for letting us use the venue!

Our September tasting with Charlie Wilson of will be supporting a charity that really hit home.
It’s amazing to think that there is such a need for a charity like this, and we can’t help but wonder how some children would be without them.
We caught up with Mary Grace, one of the trustees, who is going to tell you all about where these vital funds will be going. 📽️👇
Tickets for the tasting are available now via to grab yours and help us make a difference! 🥃✨

This mystery blended malt brings together the distinct, maritime character that made Campbeltown legendary. While the exact recipe remains a closely guarded secret for now, Charlie Wilson will be clearing things up for us very soon.
Once known as the “Victorian Whisky Capital of the World” with over 30 working distilleries, Campbeltown’s distilling heritage almost vanished entirely. Today, just three active distilleries remain—Springbank, Glen Scotia, and Glengyle. In fact, Glengyle was bought and brought back to life specifically to rescue the region’s official whisky status and save Campbeltown from extinction. Now with even more distilleries to open in the not to distant future it’s starting to slowly blossom again

The distillery serves as the spiritual home and key single malt component for Bell’s Blended Scotch Whisky. Because the vast majority of its spirit goes toward blenders, only a tiny fraction (around 0.3%) is ever bottled and sold as a single malt.
The distillery also uses an unusual spelling difference: The distillery drops the second ‘l’ from its name—spelled Blair Athol—whereas the nearby village of Blair Atholl and Blair Castle both use two ‘l’s. The distillery itself is located seven miles south of the village in Pitlochry. Septembers Tasting is in aid of Children’s Clothing Bank Dunfermline . They provide an excellent and well needed service to families in this community. It would be great to have you along to support such a great cause . We will have a minimum of 6 drams for £30 and all profits go to the charity. Tickets via Bevvy - The World's Best Whisky App

A Highland distillery famed for its extremely tall stills...”
Glenmorangie is famous for having the tallest copper stills in Scotland (standing at an impressive 5.14 metres!), the mystery bottle in our lineup carries a clever twist.
This is a teaspooned malt—a practice where a microscopic splash of another single malt (in this case, allegedly Glen Moray) is added to the cask. Because of that single teaspoon, it can no longer technically be called a single malt
We’re pretty confident Harrison Ford would approve of this particular dram—think Indy hunting down lost, historic treasure. Archeology in a glass!
The Specs:
Age: 18 Years Old
Finish: 14 months in 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads from the legendary Bodegas Barbadillo
ABV: Natural Cask Strength at 55%
Expect deep dried-fruit richness, rich Spanish oak spice, and incredible complexity brought out by those high copper stills.
Taste It With Us!
We are cracking this bottle open live at our September 10th Charity Tasting! Every pour goes toward supporting a fantastic local cause (full charity reveal coming very soon).

The legends Rare Find Whisky are paying us a visit this September, and they’re bringing something serious to the table. Fresh off the press—their Deanston bottling absolutely stole the show at Whisky Fringe, taking home the top spot! Even sweeter? That makes it a back-to-back victory after grabbing the top vote last year, too. 🏆
We couldn’t be more excited to get a taste, but here’s the catch: it’s an exclusive single cask release. Once these bottles are poured, that’s it—no top-ups, no second chances.
Mark your calendars for September and get in early before it’s gone for good. Who’s joining us for a dram? It’s a charity tasting and tickets available via Bevvy - The World's Best Whisky App

We had such a fabulous time visiting the iconic Distillery! Even though they were running a bit short-staffed on the day, Rob truly made our visit exceptional.
It makes all the difference when your guide isn’t just working there, but is a genuine whisky fan himself. Rob treated us to a brilliantly curated lineup of drams, and his passion gave me a whole new appreciation for Bowmore’s craft.
The highlight? The Bowmore 25 Year Old. While it was only the second oldest Bowmore I’ve ever tasted, it easily stole the show from an already incredible lineup. Rich, complex, and absolute perfection in a glass.
Safe to say I’m leaving Islay loving Bowmore even more than before!

Since our very first event, we’ve been on the hunt for this exact piece of local history—a Glen Grant 8 Year Old, specifically bottled for and sold by Dunfermline’s Public House Society and poured for generations of locals.
It’s rare, it’s deeply rooted in our hometown’s story, and we are beyond thrilled to finally uncork it and share it with you. The big question now: how has nearly 50 years resting in the glass affected its taste?
Come grab a dram and find out with us on Thursday 13th August . Just a couple of tickets left via
