Dear all, I will run a workshop from 11-4pm on 18 June at the church hall in st Michael's, making flags of the archangels depictions in DFS. Then the patron saint "walks" through the town for Guid Nychburris. You all are warmly welcome to both the creative workshop and the parade to es**rt the statue - with or without flags.😇 I have created a half size statue of St Michael at St John's Church during Lent. The half size paper mache statue has started a journey. A peace mission with messages of local people and from afar on its wings at Pentecost aiming Scottish churches and communities The first destination was the St Michaels Church in Dumfries,where it is still on display in left front of the altar. Dear friends, the statue has been moved between the churches successfully on a transformed pram thanks for Simon and Iain 🙏For the next event I would need a little bigger cart or trolley (1m x 1.5m or close) to securely move the statue of our patron saint through Dumfries on Guid Nychburris Parade. What a day! What a fantastic birth day for the st Michael statue!
The creation process has ended. The journey has started... From st John's to st Michael's.
Tonight just want to say a huuuuge and grateful thank you to each and everyone who has participated and/or supported the project so far. So many... I will get back to this soon. I am shattered but I also feel so touched and emotional and overwhelmed and happy. Bless you all! 🙏🌷😇🌷🙏
