Another brilliant time was had at our 3rd annual Golf Day at Cave Castle GC on Friday, in memory of Jono. On yet another hot, sunny day, a full turn out of 19 teams enjoyed a great days golf (including beat the Pro), raffle, food and drink - raising a total of £7,300 (which will enable us to hold a further days screening).
Many thanks to our main sponsor, Heritage Commercial Finance and to Letts Stay for the watering holes ! Thanks also to all those who sponsored holes and donated raffle prizes.
We had a wonderful day and really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all next year (21st May 2027).

We are delighted to have been chosen as the nominated charity for this years Driffield Golf Club captains Martin Burniston and Sandra Crow.
It's great to have this involvement with the club where Jono learnt to play as a junior member. We wish Martin and Sandra a great year as captains and look forward to supporting their events throughout the year.

We are delighted to announce that Barrie Kitching, a well known Driffield fundraiser, has chosen us as one of his nominated charities for running this years London Marathon.
All money raised will go directly to our next weekend heart screening event for 14-35 years olds, at The Driffield Showground, on 20 & 21 June - booking available late March.
Cardiac Risk in the Young believes all young people should have the choice to have their heart tested. You can support Barrie and our charity by donation via the following link;

We will be launching our June screening at the end of March. Keep following us and spread the word.

12 young people die every week in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions. That's over 600 young people every year — and most of them had no idea anything was wrong. Sudden cardiac death in the young is not rare. Cardiac screening can change that.

We screened a total of 204 young adults and all the kind donations received will help fund future screenings.
Many thanks to Mike and the CRY team for their fantastic efforts and also to Darren, Joel and the East Riding Active Communities team who joined us on Saturday. A special mention also to Charlie Dewhirst MP for supporting our event. We look forward to working with you all again in the near future.
