IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRANSPARENCY

We have not at any time asked or supported another agency from Scarborough visiting Driffield and filming or showing the locations of anyone homeless in our community.

We have worked incredibly hard over the last 4 years to build positive relationships with everyone we have engaged with, and this behaviour of filming and placing on FB / TicTok/ Instagram is not our policy, we have asked said individual to remove the content with immediate effect.

Filming and entering someone's environment is wholly inappropriate and an infringement upon thier environment, it also places the individual at risk.

We DO NOT and never will, film anyone we come across, we respect each persons right to privacy and respect. We do not need the click bait at someone else's expense. Regardless of anyone personal situation, exposing this to a whole unfamiliar and unknown audience on social media is not at anytime, in our opinion acceptable !!

We want to assure people who continue to support us, that the Scarborough based group, is not an agency that we work with, we do not share thier ways of working or the way they choose to use social media.

With Thanks

Sarah, Lucy & Kerrie

Polite Notice

As from today, Monday, 23rd January 2026, we kindly request that all communication be done by ringing 07706249099 or via messenger and not directly to Kerrie Woodhouse

Sarah and Lucy will be managing all aspects of communication, welfare visits, advice, support, and signposting until at the earliest the end of March 2026.

The only changes we are having to implement are the times in which we are available. The new times are 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. & 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Monday - Friday. Weekends will be emergency support only.

We are hoping that everything will run almost exactly the same when Kerrie is at the helm. We are here to help, so please don't be put off asking. If we can't help, we are very much able to direct you to the right support network.

Regards

Sarah & Lucy

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!

As we head toward Christmas and New Year, I want to say a huge thankyou to everyone that has continued to support us in making a difference in people lives...

Thankyou to everyone who has donated clothing, toiletries and gifted financially to enable us to continue.

We know that it's been a difficult year, we have seen an increase in the number of people we have helped and also levels of support we have offered to those homeless and in need !!

We are able to continue to offer what we do, due to the kindness of individuals and businesses from our local community, and we are so grateful 🙏

As we head into 2026, We remember those who are not here to share this time but who's memories live on with us..

Best Wishes for a lovely Christmas

Love Kerrie and the team

Just an update...
With us fastly approaching Christmas, We find ourselves very busy as always !!

We will stop collecting donations from Sunday 21st December to enable us to pass things onto other groups we are supporting.

A few people had previously reached out asking how to support with gifts / food / clothing, if you are still in a position to help, then please reach out and we can try and get things sorted.

In terms of outreach support, this will continue everyday right throughout the Christmas period and we will still be contactable on 07706249099.

You can also share concerns and details on https://thestreetlink.org.uk, this information is passed to relevant agencies.

We do not work in isolation, so please use any method most suitable at the time to make contact with someone who can help !!

Please can people be aware that we are a small team working the best we can under what can only be described as difficult times. Winter is ALWAYS a busy time for us, as soon as the weather shifts, the days nights draw early and the temperatures drop, we see an increase in calls & messages !!

WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER 24 HOUR SUPPORT !!

Whilst we will always try to attend and offer support, I don't want someone needing help to be left with nothing, if we can't help we will ALWAYS direct you to the most appropriate agency !!

The reason I say this, is because, I have woken up this morning to 7 messages about someone who was seen at 3am requiring help from a different town.

Now, had this been during the day, whilst awake, I would have informed the person to ring for an ambulance, unfortunately because I hadn't seen the messages the person had recieved no appropriate help, luckily the individual is fine & well but it could have been a very different story, especially given how cold the nights have been, and likely to continue to be.

This post isn't a dig at the person who messaged, as I understand they did what they thought was best at time, but it's made me think about what processes I can put in place from my end.

So, now, if you ring our number, the answer machine will give you options and contact numbers to ring, but please, you can always ring 101 or 999

I am setting up a reply response on our messenger giving contact details too.

Hopefully, this will help people contacting us, and will help us, help others and make sure that individuals are getting access to the most appropriate help & support.
