Transylvania Traditions CIC supports the introduction of an optional GCSE examination in Romanian, similar to GCSEs available in other modern foreign languages.

Existența unui GCSE în limba română, similar cu alte limbi străine, ar constitui un reper important pentru comunitate.

Important de precizat că un GCSE în limba română ar da posibilitatea elevilor români să susțină acest examen drept o materie opțională de competențe lingvistice şi nu implică susținerea tuturor materiilor în limba română.

🌼 Festivalul Recoltei din 4 Octombrie organizat de Transylvania Traditions CIC a fost un eveniment comunitar, multicultural și plin de tradiție, dedicat tuturor celor care iubesc tradițiile, cultura și spiritul românesc și multicultural.

Ne bucurăm că am putut petrece împreună o zi de Duminica frumoasă, într-o atmosferă de sărbătoare, voie bună și tradiții românești.

Am avut deosebita plăcere sa avem alături de noi Autoritățile locale prin Civic Mayor Jackie Dudley and their Consort Clr Rachel Reed, cât și Consulatul General al României la Manchester prin Dna Consul General Nicoleta Teodorovici și echipa consulară.

Mulțumiri comercianților pentru bunătățile pregătite cu drag Bake My Day Bunătăți Acasă la Mihaela The Yorkshire Cheese Farm Szasz Bakery Doncaster Oana Ciortan Veronica Zelenco, Bucate de la țara .
Mulțumim colaboratorilor Șezătoarea C.I.C , Sarah Well Doncaster, Homeward Veterinary Care, și nu în ultimul rând, publicului larg care ne-a fost alături. ❤️

Ne-am bucurat împreună de preparatele tradiționale românești, de mustul făcut pe loc oferit gratuit, de face painting si de dansuri traditionale românești și balcanice oferite de Ansamblul Datina prin instructor Flory Ioana si Horo Sheffield și muzica oferită de D.J. EMMA, toate pregătite pentru comunitate.

Festivalul Recoltei ne-a arătat încă o dată cât de frumoasă și unită poate fi o comunitate atunci când se adună pentru cultură, tradiție și voie bună.

Vă mulțumim și vă așteptăm cu drag la următoarele evenimente comunitare și culturale! 🎉

🌼 The Harvest Festival, held on 4 December and organised by Transylvania Traditions CIC, was a wonderful community, multicultural and traditional event, celebrating everyone who loves Romanian traditions, culture and the spirit of our diverse community.
We were delighted to spend a beautiful Sunday together, surrounded by a wonderful atmosphere of celebration, joy and Romanian traditions.

We were especially honoured to welcome our local authorities, Civic Mayor Jackie Dudley and Consort Cllr Rachel Reed, as well as the Consulate General of Romania in Manchester, represented by Consul General Ms. Nicoleta Teodorovici and the consular team.

A huge thank you to all the traders for the delicious food and products prepared with care: Bake My Day, Bunătăți Acasă la Mihaela, The Yorkshire Cheese Farm, Szasz Bakery Doncaster, Oana Ciortan, Veronica Zelenco and Bucate de la Tara.

Thank you also to our collaborators Șezătoarea C.I.C., Sarah Well Doncaster and Homeward Veterinary Care, and, last but not least, to everyone who joined and supported us. ❤️

Together, we enjoyed delicious traditional Romanian food, freshly made grape juice offered free to all participants, face painting, traditional Romanian and Balkan dances performed by Ansamblul Datina, led by instructor Flory Ioana, and Horo Sheffield, as well as music provided by DJ Emma.

The Harvest Festival showed us once again how beautiful and united a community can be when we come together to celebrate culture, tradition and joy.

A fost o adevărată plăcere să colaborăm cu Consulatul General al României la Manchester și să organizăm și să găzduim împreună această minunată sărbătoare pentru Ziua Naționala a Gastronomiei și Vinului Românesc în Doncaster. 💙💛❤️

Aș dori, de asemenea, să profit de această ocazie pentru a le reaminti cu drag tuturor celor care au participat la eveniment — persoane și organizații — că apreciem sincer că atât de mulți dintre voi v-ați bucurat de eveniment, ați făcut fotografii și le-ați distribuit pe rețelele voastre de socializare. Încurajăm cu toată deschiderea acest lucru, deoarece contribuie la promovarea culturii românești și a muncii minunate depuse de organizatori pentru comunitatea locală.

Înțelegem pe deplin și apreciem valoarea promovării și distribuirii prin intermediul evenimentelor comunității.
În același timp, vă rugăm ca distribuirea acestor materiale să fie însoțită de menționarea corespunzătoare a organizatorilor evenimentului.

Suntem mândri că am făcut posibilă această celebrare și că putem crea oportunități care aduc comunitatea noastră împreună și promovează cultura și tradițiile românești.

🇷🇴 What a wonderful day celebrating the National Day of Romanian Gastronomy and W**e Heritage, organised by the Consulatul General al României la Manchester in collaboration with Transylvania Traditions CIC, on Sunday 5th October at Corn Exchange Doncaster.

It was a real pleasure to welcome representatives of Doncaster Council, including Councillor Jackie Dudley, Civic Mayor of Doncaster and Councillor Rachel Reed Rachel Reed, also Well Doncaster representative by Sarah Well Doncaster who joined us in celebrating the richness of Romanian gastronomy, culture and traditions.

Together, we enjoyed the beautiful flavours of Romania, accompanied by wonderful w**es from Jidvei, while bringing people together through our shared love for Romanian heritage. 🇷🇴🍷

There was so much to celebrate!
We danced with Ansamblul Datina instructor Flory Ioana and Horo Sheffield, we proudly showcased our traditional costumes Șezătoarea C.I.C , we enjoyed traditional Romanian music offered by D.J. EMMA, we shared delicious traditional food offered by Bucate de la țara , The Yorkshire Cheese Farm, Bunătăți Acasă la Mihaela, Bake My Day Szasz Bakery Doncaster Valahia UK, we celebrated our w**e and gastronomic heritage.
�And, most importantly, we celebrated together as a community!

It was truly wonderful to see people coming together through food, music, dance and our shared love for Romanian traditions.

The celebrations continued with the Multicultural Harvest Festival in the marketplace, where local authorities also took part. We enjoyed a wonderful variety of food stalls, traditional crafts and freshly made grape juice offered free to all participants, bringing the spirit of harvest and community to life. 🍇

A huge thank you to everyone who supported and joined us in making this day so special. ❤️ Together, we keep our traditions, culture and heritage alive for future generations. 🇷🇴

We are especially proud that we created an opportunity for people from our Romanian community and beyond to come, meet and engage with our local authorities, share our traditions and, most importantly, create beautiful memories together.
