I have had an allotment since lockdown, my childhood memories of freshly dug new potatoes, carrots & picking peas to go with a lamb joint & homemade mint sauce had prompted me to try & recreate those halcyon days. More recently, as the discoveries of microplastics in much of what we consume & their effects on health are being realised I’m grateful that a small amount of what I eat is truly organic. It’s been a real challenge & not for everyone, but I must say I have enjoyed it, despite the frustrations.
Please have a look at using more organic food in your diet, & have a listen to podcasts about microplastics, trust me when I say that this issue will be huge for health & wellbeing in the future.
