Thursday morning has been Robotime, whilst there's beena pause on the model railway group. The group have all been working on individual projects. Yesterday saw 3 of these projects completed. The steam punk owl clocks, are actual working clocks.

Did you know we have fabric for sale in our craft and gift shop? At the moment we've hot some pretty pink pieces of cotton. Our fabric is changed on a weekly basis, so there's always something new to see.

Wednesday afternoons is mixed media play time up. Its a chance to learn about embossing powders, gilding flakes, decopatch, pearl drops, all those things that many crafters have in their craft room, because they look great, but they're not sure how to use them.
These photos are the boxes we've been working on. All completely different examples of mixed media.

This lovely group of ladies from Warmsworth WI, joined us today at Flourish at Woodfield Park Community Interest Company for afternoon tea and a craft session. Several ladies enjoyed creating a Silk Painted Card, while others worked on Neurographic Art. Thank you for choosing to spend your afternoon with us ladies.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Destash Market yesterday (6th June). It was a little quieter than usual, but everyone still went away with a great bargain.
This week we're creating Felt Puffins, we have a Beginners Crochet Course starting on Tuesday morning and we're continuing with the Mixed Media Playtime wednesday afternoon. This will be a very fluid course/workshop where you will get to choose which peice of MDF* you want to work with and how you want to work with it. Whether you decorate it with paper (decopatch), fabric, paint, embellishments, it will all be up to you. We’ll be on hand to help guide you and give you inspiration. We envisage that this could get messy with lots of paints and glue. If you’ve ever wonder how to use embossing powder, gilding flakes, stamps, all those things you might see in our craftshop that look like they could be fun to use, but you have no idea to use them, this is the session for you!
You really don’t need any previous experince of this type of crafting. It’s a chance for you to play and let your imaginationrun wild. For those of you shouting, “but I’m not creative, I haven’t got any imagination” please don’t be scared, we’re here to help you become creative and most importantly HAVE FUN.
*If you don’t want to work with MDF you’re welcome to work on paper or card instead. We will adapt the session to you.
