Next week we are delighted to Compassionate Communities NI with guest speaker Aodh McGrath to the club. They will be talking to us about Legacy planning and the importance of having ‘your affairs in order’. This is such an important topic that we are throwing our doors really wide to encourage as many as possible to attend. Entry s as usual is £2 and you will have a cup of tea, something sweet, a warm welcome and you will leave with a lot of knowledge! Please feel free to share!!!

We were delighted to welcome Sharron owner of Molly & Me Candles to the club this week. She gave a brilliant talk on her journey of the opening her business and the myriad of health benefits it has given her. We also tried some of her amazing balms and creams. We were so distracted we didn’t even take any photos so I’ve borrowed one from her social media!

We’ve been so busy we haven’t had a chance to update the page!
First up we have had the lovely Gemma from Alzheimer's Society in to give us an overview on Alzheimer’s and its effects on the person and their family. We also had the return of our hedgerow witch Grainne who created some beeswax candles and lip salves all from natural ingredients.
Next week we look forward to welcoming Janice Asdas community champion who will be chatting about the tickled pink breast cancer charity and encouraging us all to cop a feel!
Meanwhile our Fit for life has continued running on a Friday morning and this week we are delighted to welcome back mindfulness with Mary. A perfect excuse to take some time out from the world!

This week we enjoyed a round of quizingo! Yes you read that right! 2 games of bingo nestled amongst 3 rounds of general knowledge quiz questions. The top end of the room cleaned up on the bingo whereas the other end were crowned quiz champions!
We also were visited by two of Mary Murray’s sisters who came laden with a beautiful hamper of gifts!
Mary was one of our longest standing members who was nearly always first through the door on a Wednesday. She sadly passed way after a short illness in June. Thanks again to the family for such a thoughtful gift.

What an excellent day we had today. Our group were invited by Donaghmore Horticultural Community to join them to fill some beautiful pots to take home and display. Beautiful pots were created followed by a lovely cup of tea set in the lovely surroundings of the Donaghmore allotments.
Thanks again to the Horticultural society for their invite today and the wonderful work they do in our local community

Morning all!
We’ve had such a busy few weeks that I haven’t had time to post! We had the dementia bus attend The Torrent Complex on Wednesday 9th of Sept and health checks were made available to those attending as well. It was a hugely insightful experience and quite emotional to step into the life of someone experiencing dementia.
We booked for several shows coming up in the Burnavon, and the market place theatre so have lots to look forward to in the darker evenings.
This week our regular members are going off site for a pre arranged trip so new members are welcome to join us next Wednesday the 23rd back at The Torrent Complex!
