What a lovely Sunday morning in Hillworth Park! πŸŒΏπŸ’š

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Park Yoga this morning. After all that rain yesterday, we were very lucky to have a dry morning β€” and even a little blue sky! 😊

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and new ones too, coming together to move, breathe and share an hour outdoors.

With only two more Park Yoga Sundays left after today, these mornings are starting to feel rather precious. Let's make the most of them! 🌿

Thank you, as always, for your smiles, your lovely energy and for being part of our Park Yoga community.

Wishing you all a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend β€” enjoy the extra day, whatever you have planned. πŸ’šβ˜€οΈ

Good morning Devizes! πŸŒΏπŸ’™

After all that heavy rain yesterday, it's lovely to see some blue sky this morning. Hopefully that's a good sign and we'll have a nice dry spell for our Park Yoga session. Weatherforcast says only 9% - 17% of rain for our hour. 🀞😊

The ground will probably still be rather wet, so you might want to bring something waterproof to put underneath your mat or towel, and dress for the conditions.

Looking forward to seeing you at 9.30am in Hillworth Park for our Sunday morning practice together.

See you shortly! πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

Can you believe we have only three more Park Yoga Sundays left this season? πŸŒΏπŸ’š

It feels like only yesterday we were gathering in Hillworth Park for our first session, and somehow we've already reached the final few weeks.

Over the season we've moved, breathed, laughed, welcomed new faces, practised through sunshine, clouds and the occasional breeze 😊 β€” and, most importantly, created a lovely community together.

As we approach the end of the season, we'd really love to hear about your Park Yoga experience. Whether you've joined us every week, came along occasionally, or discovered Park Yoga for the first time this year, your feedback matters.

Please take a few minutes to complete our Park Yoga survey and share a little about your journey with us. Your feedback helps us understand what Park Yoga means to our community and supports its future. πŸ’š

And we're not finished yet!

Three more Sundays. Three more chances to roll out the mat, breathe some fresh air and enjoy practising together in beautiful Hillworth Park. 🌿

See you Sunday, 9.30–10.30am.

What a beautiful Park Yoga morning! πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ

Thank you to everyone who came together in Hillworth Park today. It was wonderful to see the park so full again with so many familiar faces β€” and a special welcome to our first-time Park Yogi visiting us all the way from Essex. So lovely that you found us! 😊

Our theme today was connection β€” with ourselves, with each other and with the natural world around us. 🌳 We took a little inspiration from nature: noticing how it doesn't hurry or compare, but simply grows and changes in its own time. Perhaps a gentle reminder for us too β€” to breathe without rushing, move without striving and remember that we are part of this beautiful, changing world.

Thank you for your kind feedback, your smiles and for bringing such a lovely energy to our practice today. πŸ’š And a special thank you to our volunteer Annie for helping to capture some lovely moments from the morning with her camera. πŸ“·πŸŒΏ

A little reminder that Park Yoga is a charity and completely free to attend. If you're able and would like to support it, donations help keep Park Yoga free and accessible to everyone:

I hope you left feeling a little more grounded, connected and refreshed.

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday and have a lovely week ahead. πŸŒΏπŸ’š

I spent some time today hiking through the woods, surrounded by trees, fresh air and that wonderful sense of calm that comes from simply being in nature. 🌿🌳

It felt like a lovely way to set the spirit for tomorrow morning β€” another chance to step outdoors, move our bodies, breathe deeply and enjoy being together amongst the trees.

Park Yoga is on tomorrow, 9.30–10.30am Hillworth Park

Whether you've been joining us all season or you've been thinking about giving it a go, come as you are. Just bring your mat or towel and anything you need to feel comfortable.

Hello lovely Park Yoga Devizes community! πŸ’š

The survey takes less than 10 minutes, and your feedback not only helps us improve our sessions but also supports important funding discussions that help keep Park Yoga free and accessible for everyone.

19/08/2026

Sitting in the sunshine today, I came across something that made me smile. According to an old yogic legend, Shiva is said to have taught his wife Parvati 8.4 million asanas to reveal the secrets of yoga. 8.4 million! For a moment, I thought about how tiny a fraction of those I actually know… and then I read that Parvati apparently fell asleep while Shiva was teaching them all. πŸ™‚

Whether or not we take the story literally (and it is, of course, mythology), I love the little reminder hidden within it.

Sometimes having too many possibilities can become overwhelming. We can feel there is so much to learn, so much we don't know, or that everyone else somehow knows more than we do. And before we know it, that becomes the very thing that stops us from beginning.

Yoga doesn't ask us to know 8.4 million poses. We don't even need to know one before we turn up.

We simply start where we are.

One breath. One movement. One moment of awareness.

And perhaps that's true beyond the yoga mat too. We don't need to know the whole path before taking the first step. 🌿

So if you've ever looked at yoga and thought, "I wouldn't know what I'm doing," please don't let that stop you. Come as you are and I'll guide you through the rest.

And with four more Sundays left in our Park Yoga season, there are still four more opportunities to give it a go. 😊

Sunday, 9.30–10.30am
Hillworth Park, Devizes

Free, friendly and open to everyone. πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

P.S. And just to show that I practise what I preach… last week I gave something new a go too. 🏹😊
