What an AMAZING achievement!! Thank you so much to everyone involved in this incredible series of fundraising events that has raised almost TWELVE THOUSAND POUNDS in aid of Derbyshire Mind.

A group of Buxton friends have been raising awareness of mental health issues for the last two years after losing a friend to su***de.

This last year they decided to hold a one day music festival with talented local bands, a super star DJ and more!

The event was generously paid for from a collection of local companies that together are covered all the set up costs.

They had amazing prizes that were been donated from other local businesses and took a donation on entry to the event with all profit made being donated to Derbyshire Mind.

Buxton Brewery also kindly donated a percentage of the takings from two of their top selling beers.

All in all, what an amazing event with proceeds going towards helping Derbyshire Mind deliver much needed Mental Health and Wellbeing Services for the people of Derbyshire. HUGE THANKS to EVERYONE involved!

Celebrating our AMAZING Volunteers who support Gez who leads our Buxton Hill Walks that run twice a month, on Fridays and Saturdays, every Friday with a free lunch too!

"May really is the month to get outdoors! This month’s Buxton Hill Walks were both dry and sunny; I couldn’t believe our luck. We headed over to High Edge with blue skies and little fluffy clouds, the skylarks in full voice and the wildflowers in bloom. Especially lovely to see the yellow mountain pansies.

Great to see some return walkers as well as new faces, as ever the best part of the walk are the conversations along the way."

June’s geology themed walk starts in Fairfield and heads through Woo Dale and Cowdale before turning to Zink. More details and booking here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/derbyshire-mind-31232492695
