A North of England Charity that supports dance activities for children and young people with special educational needs. Bringing a little laughter and happiness into their lives through dance
"We Can Dance" was established in 2000 and became a Registered Charity in 2010. "We Can Dance" focuses on young people with special educational needs, such as profound and multiple learning difficulties (PML
D), autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and behavioural difficulties. We have developed our own programme with PMLD students for weekly lessons and specialist workshops, bringing music, movement and sensory stimulation into their lives. "We Can Dance" aims to give children with special educational needs the opportunity to access music and dance through regular lessons at their school by professional dance teachers, funded by "We Can Dance" who at present are supporting the following schools:
