I hope this post finds you well. I'm writing to ask if you would consider sponsoring me in this year’s cycling challenge which I'm taking part in to raise money for The Edge Centre in Darlington.
Over the weekend of 21–22 June 2026, I'll be cycling over 100 miles. I am planning two rides:
• Saturday 21st June - 50 miles, including a 20-mile community ride alongside fellow volunteers and users of The Edge Centre.
• Sunday 22nd June - 50 miles alongside a fellow volunteer.
Across all participants in the fund Raiser, we're aiming to exceed a combined 400 miles over the weekend. There is also a similar walking challenge on the Saturday
The Edge Centre, opened in 2023 in the Northgate ward of Darlington (one of the most deprived areas in England) provides a safe, welcoming space for people who need it most. The Centre offers mental health support, addiction recovery programmes, community activities, and family services. It exists to restore a sense of community and to come alongside people who might otherwise face life alone. More information can be found at www.EdgeCentreDarlington.co.uk
