95 (Crewe) Squadron, Air Training Corps We are a squadron that wants more! More young people, more awards and more achievements to build on our past successes. Then please don't hesitate to contact us.

We need more young people though our door and hope this page can highlight a small amount of what we do to potential new recruits 95 Crewe Squadron is currently recruiting new cadets. A huge congratulations to Cadet Griffiths being promoted to Corporal Griffiths, last Wednesday night. Unfortunately we didn't have a picture, so there has been a delay in the post.
Also congratulations to Cpl Griffiths on achieving her Silver Cyber award.

Last Friday, our new cadets were split into two groups ready for their team building exercises. One group had to build a structure out of spaghetti and marshmallows, making it as tall as they could, whilst holding its structure. The other group had to build a Lego bridge across two tables, then we tested it by tying a bucket and filling that bucket with Lego. Then we swapped, as you can see they took great time and care over building their structures.

Whilst this was happening, we had our other training flight outside carrying out their Drill Assessments, which they needed to complete their First Class training.

🥳Last Wednesday had our first parade night back at our own squadron, it was great to be back!🥳
Throughout the evening we had our new intakes first evening down, where they got to see our Squadron. We had our senior flight doing IET and tent pitching and our first class cadets doing their blue DofE training. It was all change at break time and our seniors took time to help the newer cadets with tent pitching and whilst others carried out their blue DofE exercises.
👏🏻We had lots of badges to be given out at the end of the evening as well, so can we say a huge well done and congratulations to them. 👏🏻

🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️Last Friday, our cadets were busy practising for the GM Wing athletics.

🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️On the Sunday several of our cadets then went to represent our Squadron. We are amazingly proud of all our cadets and the effort they put in! Some of our cadets also came home with medals🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏅🏅

🎉On Wednesday, we hosted our Intake evening for new recruits. 🎉
The evening started off with a presentation and talk from our OC, explaining more about RAFAC and what we offer.

Then, we invited our potential cadets to come and have a look at a few activities, which our cadets came up with and were running. We had some paper aeroplane making, First aid with CPR and bandaging demos, radio exercises, space section -where our cadets were showing some of the space syllabus that they learn and showing off the telescope and projectors, we then had a small drill display. We finished off with a paper aeroplane competition to see whose went the furthest, in the hall. All potential recruits were encouraged to join in with all activities and already getting ahead of the game, learning how to salute!

It was a great evening and fun had by all, we can not wait to see our new recruits next Wednesday!

👏🏻Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you and well done to all cadets who were involved in the Intake evening - you put on some fantastic activities and worked hard to include every new recruit.👏🏻

If you or someone you know is looking for a challenge then please come along. Children need to be in Year 8 (aged between 12 -17). We offer lots of different activities for the cadets to enjoy, including Flying, shooting, STEM, Fieldcraft and many more!
