Getting that crisp, parade-ready look is all in the details. In this quick guide, we’re showing you step-by-step how to press a traditional blue collar the right way—complete with all the history behind those iconic three white stripes and creases.

The Legend: Those three white stripes represent the historic battles of Trafalgar, The Nile, and Copenhagen.

The History: Originally designed to protect sailors’ jackets from the tar used in their ponytails!
