It’s lovely to see everyone chatting, crafting and enjoying time together while creating their own sparkly masterpieces. 👻💎

A big well done to everyone who took part — you’ve certainly added a little extra sparkle to Halloween! 🕷️🦇🧡

💙 Ferry Friends Enjoy a Wonderful Day Out! 💙🎶

Our Ferry Friends had a lovely visit to the Riverside Day Centre, where they enjoyed a delicious three-course meal 😋🍽️ What a treat!

After enjoying their tasty meal and good company, the fun continued with some wonderful singers and the lovely sound of the accordion 🎤🪗🎵 There were plenty of smiles, laughter and toe-tapping tunes to enjoy!

A big thank you to everyone at Riverside Day Centre for making us feel so welcome and helping to make it such a special day. ❤️

Lovely food, lovely music and lovely company — what more could you ask for? 🥰💙

We were delighted to welcome Mike from Care Call to Ferry Friends for a chat about the fantastic support Care Call can provide for older people in our community. 💙
Mike explained how Care Call can give elderly people and their families extra reassurance, security and peace of mind, helping people to feel safer and more independent in their own homes.
It was a really informative and interesting visit, and we’d like to thank Mike for taking the time to come along and talk to us. It’s great to learn about the services available that can make such a positive difference to older people and their families. 😊

🎶❤️ The wonderful power of music and memories ❤️🎶
Yesterday at Ferry Friends, we were delighted to welcome David Kerr, who entertained everyone with his accordion playing. 🪗
Music has such a special place in our memories, especially songs and tunes that the older generation grew up listening to. Familiar music can bring back happy memories, spark conversations, encourage people to sing along, and create a wonderful sense of connection and belonging.
It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the music, tapping their feet, singing along and sharing memories from years gone by. 🥰
A huge thank you to David for bringing his accordion and helping create such a warm and enjoyable afternoon. Music really can bring people together! 🎵❤️

There’s nothing better than bringing people together for a bit of fun, friendship and friendly competition!
Our Ferry Friends enjoy getting together at Waverley Hall for a game of dominoes, and it’s about so much more than simply playing the game.
Dominoes can help to:
🧠 Keep the mind active through counting, remembering and planning moves
🤝 Encourage social interaction and help build friendships
😊 Boost mood and provide plenty of laughter and enjoyment
🎯 Support concentration and focus
❤️ Help reduce loneliness by creating regular opportunities to meet and chat
☕ Most importantly, provide a welcoming space to enjoy good company
Dominoes are a simple game, but they bring people together — creating conversation, laughter and a real sense of community.

🌟 Ferry Friends Outing 🌟
Yesterday, our Ferry Friends had a lovely time at the Riverside Day Centre! 😊
We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal together, followed by a few fun games of bingo — with plenty of laughs and good company along the way! 🎉🍽️🎲
