Weekends forecast 19/06/2026

Dry to begin Friday but rain will soon arrive and be around for much of the day. Temperatures around 20°C in fairly light W winds.

Saturday and Sunday look drier with some good sunny spells between any showers. Temperatures will reach 19°C as a strong east wind will keep temperatures down a few degrees especially on the coast

Next week looks warm and humid with an increasing risk of thunderstorms. Temperatures could reach 25°C. Summer could return yet!

Weekly forecast 14/05/2026

A bit of a mixed bag this week. Monday will be dry with some sunny spells at times. Winds mostly light with temperatures reaching 18°C. Tuesday afternoon sees the threat of rain and a few heavy bursts possible by nightfall.

A few showers on Wednesday begin a band of rain arrives Thursday and another on Friday. This could also be heavy at times too.

Temperatures generally around 18°C any feeling warm in any sunshine. Conditions improve over the weekend with a possible return to more settled conditions next week.

Olympian Ciara Mageean says she is determined to "fit as much living into the years I have left" as she spoke about her stage four cancer diagnosis.

Weekend forecast 12/06/2026

Fairly cloudy for most of the weekend but a few showers will pop up from time to time between any sunny breaks . Temperatures will rise as milder air ha now moved in from the Atlantic. Temperatures generally around 18°C in fairly light W to SW winds. We can expect the weather to continue like this until Tuesday before the rain returns.

Weekly forecast 08/06/2026

Starting off dry on Monday but showers arriving by afternoon. Heavy ones in places. Temperatures around 13°C but dropping back to 5°C overnight which is cold for June. The same is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday a spell of rain will pass over but will introduce somewhat milder air. Friday will see showers before they die away for Saturday.

The good news is that high pressure looks set to build over the weekend with some sunny weather and warmer temperatures. Too early to say if a hot spell will develop but something to look forward to.

Weekend forecast 05/06/2026

Not the best of weekends for the beginning of June. It will feel more like October. Starting off dry and sunny for Friday. Cloud will increase during the afternoon. Tonight will see a spell of rain which could be heavy at times. Windy as well. Temperatures only around 14°C and dropping to 7°C overnight at times.

Saturday will see showers but dome sunny spells at times too. Still feeling cool however. Another spell of rain on Sunday clearing to showers. Staying cool and unsettled into next week as Summer is still on hold.

The extreme long rand is currently hinting a return to high pressure and drier conditions eventually.

Thunderstorms have been breaking out along the north coast this evening and nie starting around Dublin. Met Éireann has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for this area too. Pretty much anywhere it at risk. Humidity has recently increased to 95% compared to around 60% last week.
