Something just popped up on my Weldonfest memories and definitely needs to be shared … it’s from my friend Dennis Madden who sadly passed away several years ago but was a massive part of our Weldonfest family and a key member of our volunteer committee…reading it made me realise the journey we shared and how we talked about maybe one day we would revisit Weldonfest and start it up again … he is not here to see that Weldonfest is back up and as successful as ever but without Dennis Madden I don’t think we would be as good as we are … have a read and hopefully it gives you a little insight about what we have achieved as a group…

What we did was fantastic.

Weldonfest 2026 was a great success and we would like to say some Thank Yous.
Firstly to James Hunter for persuading me to once again team up and get Weldonfest 2026 off the ground (to be fair James done most the boring stuff and paperwork) so a massive thank you bud.
Weldon United Football Club management and players for helping with the site setup,volunteering their time and working throughout the day on the bars 🥵
all the bands/artists who played throughout the day you were fantastic… Adelle Kirk for being a legend running the Acoustic stage and Craig Barber for running the Dance tent to the sound technicians who were running the main stage and Indie Metal and Punk and Dance tent we salute you 🙌
To Jim Byrne for a great job keeping things running smoothly and all at Corby Radio and Embrace Radio for the support throughout.
Jak Leese and team Hyrox Corby for helping set up and providing the main stage It was all massively appreciated.
Kim Bullock and Morrison who were once again amazing all day in the tokens booth as it was a very hot day so thank you.
Trisha Braidwood Sharratt and her small team of volunteers for keeping you thirsty folk happy in the VIP Bar.
Chell Byrne and David Oneill for running the cocktail,shots and fizz bar absolutely superb
Tuckers Catering Services for providing the food for everyone.
David Burke Burke Charley Burke and friends/partners Justin Lilley Phil Ward and the northern mafia we salute you for once again volunteering on the bars you legends 🙌 Ryan Hall and his team of players again thank you as without all the volunteers Weldonfest simply does not happen so if you see any of the volunteers please give them a shoutout they all deserve massive praise.
Lee Richardson and the scouts for a fantastic job litter picking throughout the day/evening you were amazing.
And a thank you to the many other people who contributed to making the festival a successful community day for everyone to enjoy 🙌
Finally Robert Burke (me) for once again running about like a fecking idiot making sure the festival is running smoothly and the punters volunteers artists musicians and everyone on site are enjoying the day😎

It's going to be a glorious day today! Our amazing volunteers are finalising the site so please bear with us if we're unable into interact online during our event day.

Our awesome volunteers are at the core if all we do to keep your prices low for your festival community here at Weldonfest Official. They've been hard at work this week pulling everything together and will be ready for your high fives 🖐
