We’re inviting Oakley Vale residents to get involved in our Litter Picking Competition and help make our community cleaner, greener and more welcoming for everyone.

It’s easy to enter:

🗑 Pick up at least one standard-sized bag of litter from somewhere within Oakley Vale

📸 Take a photo of your litter-picking efforts

📲 Post it on Instagram, tag Vale and use

📅 Enter by 12 November 2026
Everyone who submits a valid entry will go into a prize draw to WIN a £200 One4all gift card!

Take part on your own, with your family or get your neighbours involved. Every bag collected makes a difference.

Please stay safe while litter picking and don’t handle needles, sharp objects, chemicals or other hazardous items.

Getting ready for Oakley Fest with OVCC Vice Chair Veronika Toth

With Oakley Fest just around the corner, we sat down with Veronika Toth, the Vice Chair of Oakley Vale Community Centre (OVCC) to get a sneak behind-the-scenes look at the makings of our neighbourhood’s biggest event.

The Oakley Fest takes place on Saturday 4 July at the Oakley Vale Community Centre, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by yesterday's tragic rail collision involving the Corby to London service.

We send our sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the train driver who sadly lost his life, and wish all those injured a full recovery.

Our thanks also go to the emergency services, railway staff and hospital teams who responded so quickly.
