Congleton Amateur Youth Theatre (CAYT) was established in 1990 and is a thriving, NODA Award winning, local theatre group. CAYT presents two productions each year, staged in May and November. All CAYT shows are created with a family audience in mind, offering inclusive and entertaining theatre for the local community, inspiring young performers and delighting audiences of all ages. The group’s mem
bership ranges from 9 to 21 years of age, with typically 35 to 45 young people taking part at any one time. All members are drawn from Congleton and the surrounding local area, creating a strong sense of community and local involvement. CAYT is a voluntary organisation, run entirely by a small and dedicated team of adult and parent volunteers. We rely heavily on the generosity, time and support of the local community, and we are always keen to welcome new help. If you are a local business, why not consider sponsoring one of our productions or advertising in our show programme? It’s a great way to support young people in the arts while promoting your business locally – and many theatre‑goers keep the programme as a lasting souvenir. We would love to hear from anyone with experience or interest in costume design, sewing, painting, joinery, or other practical or creative skills. If you’d like to get involved or find out more, please get in touch – we’d be delighted to hear from you.
