Our home is coming together with our Halloween decorations 🎃👻💀

This afternoon we hosted a mad hatter tea party with the staff and residents dressing up ☕️🫖as you can see each one has a big smile on there faces ☺️❤️

This week, we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing team for all the love, kindness and dedication they show our residents every single day. ❤️

Our appreciation tree is filled with lovely messages from our residents, reminding us just how much our staff mean to them. 🥰

To our wonderful team, thank you for going above and beyond and making The Laurels such a special place to live and work. You are appreciated more than you know! 🫶🏼💚

Play doh sensory feeling today
Today the residents had ago at making their own play doh, asking them what does it feel like ? They all had ago at feeling the doh and smelling the different scents 🥰😜🫶

Earlier in the week Lilliah took a couple of residents out on the bus into town for lunch or a coffee and cake.
It was lovely to get some fresh air and a change of scenery

Today we have been busy baking today
The residents got stuck in the morning helping me to make their afternoon treats 😋

First we made 2 types of cookies
Chocolate chips and hazelnut cookies with caramel drizzle on top
Dark chocolate and white chocolate

Then we had ago at making homemade chocolate digestive biscuits 🍪

They went down so well with a cup of tea ☕️

👻🎃HALLOWEEN PARTY 30th October 4-6pm 👻🎃

Join us for a spook tacular Halloween party on October 30 th at the care home. Families and little ones are very welcome. Enjoy a buffet tea, drinks, games, and festive fun. Don’t miss our hamper raffle, all proceeds go to the residents’ comfort fund. Come dressed up and ready for a frightfully fun time 🎃👻

Following a review with infection control we have made the decision to reschedule this event to Thursday 15th October.

We hope you can join us, the event will remain at the same time of 2pm.

Due to cancelling our MacMillan tea party we are doing a joint tea party tied into our mad hatters tea party on the 6th October at 2pm.
Please join us and help to support our home to raise money 💴!!!!
