The Tour of Britain, 20th Aug 2026.
Some of the most talented female cyclists in the world, set off from beautiful Clitheroe and battled across Lancashire to an exciting finish in Blackpool.

Neither do we. 😂
But he’s one of around 25,000 people who thoroughly enjoyed Clitheroe Food Festival last weekend.
And judging by the crowds, he certainly wasn’t alone.
Glorious weather,
Incredible food,
Local drinks,
🎶 Live entertainment
And thousands of people filling the streets of Clitheroe.
Once again, the town absolutely came alive.

We're currently working on a local history feature about Holmes Mill and I'm looking for old photographs of the men and women who worked there over the years.

We are appealing to witnesses to an incident which is reported to have taken place near to the entrance to Clitheroe castle park near to the railway crossing.

The incident has reportedly taken place on the 17th of June 2026 between 19:15 hours and 19:30 hours.

I would like to speak to an unknown person who is described as being approximately five foot eight inches tall, in her fifties, walking two dogs, one small and one larger described as being a brown dog, which is slightly smaller than a German Shepherd.

If anybody has an idea of who this might be, please let me know :)
