Since Amanda’s mum, Jackie, passed away at our hospice in 2018, Amanda and her family have worked tirelessly to support our care in a variety of ways, from sponsored activities to hosting their very own charity ball!

This year’s ball, their fourth and biggest to date, raised a fantastic £11,513. Combined with their other incredible fundraising efforts over the years, they have now donated over £70,000 in support of end-of-life care for our patients and their loved ones.

This is a phenomenal achievement, and we are completely blown away by their dedication. Thank you so much to the Claytons for everything you do. It is truly inspiring to see family, friends, and an entire community join together to celebrate and commemorate the life of someone so special. ✨

Volunteering gives people a purpose. But sometimes, it also gives them a lifeline. 💙

This , we want to share a beautiful tradition started by our incredible team at the Edgeley shop in Stockport. Every year, they plan a self-funded holiday to North Wales together.

While the trip is packed with laughter, dancing, and quiz nights, its real impact goes much deeper. For some of our volunteers, this is the only holiday they get. For others who live alone, it is their only opportunity to travel, explore, and share meals with people who care about them.

"It’s brought us closer together," says Relief Shop Manager, Maria. "It is so lovely we were all able to go together."

By coming together outside the shop, this team has built a powerful support network. They have proven that volunteering at Moya Cole Hospice isn't just about sorting donations; it’s about conquering isolation, building lifelong friendships, and creating a community.

Our two hospices are currently at full capacity. Due to our ageing population, more people than ever require our care. The longer we live, the more complex and multifaceted our needs become. While our hospices are future-proof, we still rely on vital funds to keep them running.
