Come and join us at Toddler Time every Monday from 1pm to 2.30pm at Twydall Community Centre. Parents, carers and children up to 24 months are welcome to drop in for play, learning and fun in a friendly environment.

Looking for a friendly place to meet other parents and spend quality time with your baby?

Join us at Baby Time every Thursday from 1pm to 2.30pm at Bligh Primary School, Strood. Families with non-walking babies are welcome to drop in and enjoy a relaxed session filled with play, interaction and opportunities to connect with others. No booking required.

Family Action Medway Universal Parenting Programme and our Pregnancy to Three Medway team enjoyed the sunshine at on Saturday! It was lovely to see Medway coming together to celebrate inclusion and diversity ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We invited all to our stay and play sessions and Incredible Years Baby Programme, and chatted with others to see how we could ensure that our services are inclusive and welcoming.

International FASD Awareness Day – 9 September 2026

Today we’re raising awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and the importance of understanding how it can affect children, young people and families.

FASD is a lifelong, brain-based condition associated with alcohol exposure during pregnancy. It can affect individuals in many different ways, including learning, memory, attention, emotional regulation, communication and behaviour.

FASD can be difficult to recognise. More than 90% of people with FASD do not have the facial features sometimes associated with the condition.

For parents and carers, understanding what may be behind a child’s behaviour can make a huge difference. What can sometimes look like “won’t” may actually be “can’t yet” – and the right support, patience and understanding can help children and families thrive.

As part of our work supporting families across Medway, we believe in compassionate, non-judgemental parenting support and helping families to understand the reasons behind behaviour.

💜 Today, let’s increase understanding, reduce stigma and make sure children and families affected by FASD are seen, heard and supported.
