Twenty people. That's all it took to get started.

MVA only joined Easyfundraising in June 2026, but already 20 supporters have raised £117.38 for our work across Kent and Medway.

At first glance, that might not sound like a huge number.

But every movement starts somewhere.
Every supporter started with a single click.
Every donation came from a purchase someone was already planning to make.
And together, those small actions are already helping to support MVA's work creating opportunities, strengthening communities and helping people fulfil their potential across Kent and Medway.

Now imagine what could happen if:
✅ 40 supporters raised £235
✅ 75 supporters raised £440
✅ 100 supporters raised £585

The opportunities created through projects like Inspire show what is possible when communities come together around a shared belief: that everyone deserves the chance to thrive.

If you're not already supporting MVA through Easyfundraising, we'd love you to join us. Click the link to find out more: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/mva/
Because change doesn't always start with a big gesture.
Sometimes it starts with your next online shop.

🌈 A community where everyone belongs. That's worth celebrating. 🌈

What a fantastic day we had at Medway Pride!

From dancing in the parade and singing along to the music, to meeting so many incredible people, the whole day was a celebration of community, connection and inclusion.

At MVA, we believe everyone deserves to feel valued, heard and supported. That's why events like Pride are so important.

Our team loved giving out temporary rainbow tattoos, and we were especially proud to see children and community members helping us create colourful flags for our homemade community bunting around our gazebo. 💙💖🧡

We were also delighted to share our gazebo with Martin from Way Better Medway, who was a fabulous addition to the team for the day. It was wonderful to work together, meet new people and celebrate the diversity that makes our communities stronger.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat, share a smile, dance with us, or add their creativity to our community bunting. Together, we're building more inclusive and equitable communities where everyone can thrive.

🌈 Happy Pride!

One opportunity can change a life. But it takes a community to create that opportunity.

Through MVA's Inspire project, a local young person took part in a volunteering placement with Carers First, supporting carers and families in the community.
Reflecting on the experience, they said:
"My volunteering with Carers First was a brilliant opportunity for me to get out there and see what some people may be struggling with and it was rewarding to hear how Carers First help people."

That experience didn't end when the placement finished.

The young person went on to continue their journey with Carers First, completing further training and building experience linked to a future career helping others.
This is what MVA does every day.

We bring together local organisations, opportunities and people to help unlock potential, build confidence and create brighter futures across our community. Through projects like Inspire, we've seen young people discover new ambitions, gain real-world experience and take positive steps towards the life they want to build.

If stories like this inspire you, we'd love you to take a look at a simple way you can help MVA create more opportunities for local people.

Whether you're booking a holiday, buying school uniforms or shopping online for everyday essentials, your purchases could help support MVA's work across Medway and Kent.

What if supporting local communities was as easy as doing your online shopping?

We know life is busy. Between booking holidays, buying school uniforms, replacing worn-out shoes and ordering the things your family needs, there's always something on the to-do list.

That's why we love EasyFundraising.

Shop online. Retailers donate. You pay nothing.

When you shop with thousands of participating retailers, they donate a small amount to MVA at no extra cost to you.

That means your holiday booking, school supplies or everyday online purchases could help MVA create more opportunities like MVA's Inspire Project, which helped young people across Kent and Medway discover new skills, gain valuable experience and take positive steps towards their future.

Since June, 20 supporters have already raised £117.38 for MVA through EasyFundraising.

Imagine what we could achieve if more people joined them.

If you're planning any online shopping this summer, we'd love your support! Sign up to EasyFundraising here:

Every young person deserves the chance to discover what they're capable of.

Over the past few weeks, we've shared the story of MVA's Inspire project and the difference it made for local young people.

We saw young people gain valuable experience, explore new opportunities and take positive steps towards their future. Some are now volunteering regularly, while others found new interests, new connections and new possibilities they hadn't considered before.

The challenge is that there are many more young people across Kent and Medway who could benefit from opportunities like these.

The good news is that local people are already helping.

Since MVA joined EasyFundraising in June, 20 supporters have raised £117.38 simply by shopping online as normal.

Shop online. Retailers donate. You pay nothing.
No extra cost.
No extra spending.
Just everyday purchases helping MVA create more opportunities in our community.

If you're booking a holiday, planning days out, or starting your back-to-school shopping this summer, you can support MVA at the same time through Easyfundraising, link here: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/mva/

More young people deserve opportunities like these.

Behind every new skill learned, every volunteering placement completed and every young person finding a new direction, is a community that cares enough to make it possible.

The Inspire project brought together local charities, community organisations, housing staff and young people to create something powerful: a network of support that helped young people take positive steps towards their future.

One support worker reflected:
"The project has opened doors for young people that they may never otherwise have had access to."

At MVA, we see every day what can happen when communities come together around a shared belief: that every young person deserves the chance to build a positive future.

The challenge now is simple.

How do we create more opportunities like these for the next young person who needs them?

We've shared one way local people are helping on our website, link here: https://www.mva.org.uk/news/easy-fundraising

Great to attend the 3-Month Leadership Catch-Up Session at alongside Jim as part of the Sport England Place work happening across Medway.
The leadership training has provided a fantastic opportunity for Community Connectors to strengthen relationships with local communities, organisations, and partners, helping us work more collaboratively to support residents across Medway.
It was also wonderful to share updates on the work Jim and Olivia have been doing within the community, highlighting the people, groups, and organisations we've engaged with and the positive connections being made.
A huge thank you to Active Kent & Medway, Sport England for their continued support and commitment to creating stronger, more connected communities.
