Acorn Cat Rescue Originally founded in the Dordogne, France. Association Acorn is now in Wiltshire, England. Their experience and dedication is second to none.

Acorn was formed in 2016 as a brand new Association, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, care for and re-home cats and kittens Calne, Wiltshire and the surrounding area. The founders, Lynda and Trevor Atkins, have fostered and re-homed more than 1000 cats and kittens over the past 16 years during the time they lived in France. We at Association Acorn love cats and kittens, and for us, they will always come first.

PRIVATE ADOPTION FOR INKY

This is Inky, she's was 2 at approximately end of April beginning of May. She was found on a road aged about 5 weeks. She has lived on a farm until now and is in need of a new home due to a house move. She needs a home not close to a busy road as she isnt used to traffic. She's very friendly and sociable. She is half dog after spending all her time around a border collie who became her best friend, she has also lived with other cats. She has been microchipped and spayed. She is absolutely full of character and loves to cuddle and fall asleep on your chest or tummy.

All kittens are 10 weeks old manly girls but a few boys.

Mouse Now Two Weeks Old And 172g just over three times his birth weight, what a whopper!!

MEET MOUSE

Six days ago Mouse came to ACORN. He was two days old and weighed 55g (most kittens weigh around 100g at birth). His mum didn't want to care for him and his litter mates were lost very quickly. When Mouse was removed from the home he was cold, it was feared he wouldn't survive.

Mouse, so called because it is like feeding a large mouse is now 80g. Its been slow progress getting him to a near normal birth weight but he feels quite strong now and is beginning to want the milk and suck.

We still have a long road ahead, he needs feeding every three hours, so I see him a lot and at first he really didn't want to feed so the process was long.

Hopefully I can post pictures of his progress.

The Kitten Season Has Started.

Here is a young lady we have called Maddie, along with five, ten day old babies,

If you look closely you may be able to see the babies who are all happily feeding, all of course are black, like mum.

As we are still getting to know Maddie, we are not sure of the s*x of the babies yet, all are doing well and are quite plump.

They are all safe now and in from the cold.
