*MCF Annual Ball*

On Saturday 20th June, members attended the MCF Annual Ball hosted by Yorkshire West Riding. As they are currently undertaking their Festival, we were delighted to support the event and their fundraising efforts.

Their Provincial Grand Master, James Newman, was formerly Deputy President of the Masonic Charitable Foundation at its inception and is also an East Lancashire Freemason, making the occasion particularly special for our delegation.

Representing ELMC, the PGLEL, and the East Lancashire Festival 2026 Appeal Committee, our team was both proud and pleased to offer its support. We enjoyed a wonderful evening of friendship, fundraising, dancing, excellent fare, and plenty of mirth and merriment.

We wish Yorkshire West Riding every success with the remainder of their Festival and look forward to following their continued progress.

🚶‍♂️A Walk with Purpose: Burnley to Colne for Charity 🚶‍♂️

On Sunday 17 May 2026, Daniel and 9-year-old Chester took on an incredible challenge — walking from Burnley Masonic Hall to Colne Masonic Hall to raise funds for the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
Covering an impressive 13.76km in just over 3 hours, the pair were joined along the route by Daniel’s father-in-law and several dedicated members of the East Lancashire Masonic Charity and the Province of East Lancashire.
The walk was filled with great spirit, laughter, support from fellow Freemasons, and even some memorable encounters with local wildlife along the canal route. 🦆
From start to finish, the day showcased friendship, community, and a shared commitment to helping others.
Everyone involved should be enormously proud of the effort, determination, and charitable spirit shown throughout the day.
Thank you to all who supported the walk and donated to the Masonic Charitable Foundation. A total of £365 was made. Every step taken helps make a difference to people in need.
