Our Task Day on Saturday was in the New Jerusalem Woodland,

The path got a good debramble and cut back, Bill laid the liner and bark ready for a RCP bench to be added and Phil gave the Mother Zen chair a lick of paint.
Thank you Heather, Phil, Bill, Colin and Andrew for going out into the wilderness! πŸͺ

Thank you to Sue Smith for your Buddha head donation this really a lovely peaceful part of the woodland πŸͺ·

Great work everyone! πŸ’™

Thank you so much to McGowans Gardens
We're running low on volunteers at the moment so we need the community to step up where they can, teamwork makes the dream work as they say! πŸ’™

Whilst the weather has finally cooled down a little for now, volunteers were still out in the heatwave looking after the flowers & plants ensuring they survive the lack of rain β˜€οΈ

Last year St Paul's Church Gardens had liners added with bark over the top to retain as much water as possible & we'd absolutely recommend this for all gardens to save on your water bill!πŸ’§

In other news, you may notice some new additions to the areas we cover, garden stakes with our information on & some leaflet holders holding some new leaflets for anyone who may be interested in volunteering with us, if you happen to know anyone who you think may be interested, please take one & pass it along! πŸ’™

Happy weekend everyone!

We have a favour to ask,
The Holcombe Brook Corner team has been busy, doing their best to keep the area tidy & looking pretty, if there's anyone who lives nearby who could water the flower bed near the traffic lights we'd be ever so grateful, this weather has been quite harsh & they can dry out quicker than normal β˜€οΈ

Thank you to The Scruffy Pup-Dog Grooming Tottington for your on the spot donation, very much appreciated πŸ™

Thank you to Bill & Mark for tackling the Laural Hedge πŸͺ

Bit of an odd one..

Could we please ask the public to not "re-home" any of the plants or flowers from any of the displays in Ramsbottom

Our volunteers work very hard getting them all out there & spend hours of their time, unpaid, to look after them, to make Ramsbottom beautiful for ALL

Thanks,
Ramsbottom Civic Pride.

Another successful Task Day at Kay Brown Gardens last weekend 🌱

A new path to the woodland laid, a very stubborn Christmas tree repotted in a newly painted tub and all hedges trimmed, flowers planted and weeds weeded. 😁

Thanks to everyone who helped, we left the gardens looking a lot neater! πŸͺ

Last week we had our Summer Social celebrating our volunteers for all the work they do with a chippy tea from Bridge Street Chippy, very tasty, thank you Paul! 🍽️

This was followed by a really interesting trip through Rammys history from Andrew Todd, we all learnt so much more about the area we are all trying to keep beautiful.

It was really interesting to learn that the Orchard was previously railway sidings and the new Jerusalem area was a church and several rows of housing (including β€œIrish Row”). πŸ’‘

Thank you again to all our volunteers who work so very hard πŸŒ±πŸ’™

Ramsbottom Civic Pride wouldn't be what it is without the Rammy community

A lager from a neighbour for Karen & Dot at Kay Brown Gardens whilst yapping with St Joseph's Church priest about flowers 🍻

A coffee for Heather after being spotted by Rebecca at DRINC coffee bar weeding the area outside the railway station 🌱

& Paving slabs from Drive Designs Landscapes for our New Jerusalem site & pathways at the new Orchard by Ramsbottom Leisure Centre 🌳

Thank you to each and every person & business who contribute to our work, when we work together we can really make Ramsbottom beautiful.

If you're interested in volunteering with us, please get in touch!

So much work has been taking place in Ramsbottom Central, from Bury New Road to Factory Street our volunteers have been busy bees 🐝

Gardens are taking shape in what used to be unused land & it looks amazing, well done team! πŸͺ

Thank you to Heather, Brad, Lavinia, Graham, Bill and Andrew at New Jerusalem.
The new planting at the memorial and bench, and the perennial border will really give wow factor to the garden. 🌱
