Whilst our social media gal has been sitting in front of a fan melting, the RCP volunteers who actually get their hands (& knees) dirty have been out doing some amazing work! 🪏

Holcombe Brook Corner update: The Alliums are in full bloom, and the garden is looking beautiful. A big thank you to Deborah for gifting us her homegrown geraniums and to Bill for weeding the steps at the Hare and Hounds and for sourcing an extra bench. Thank you also to Phil and Hazel for catching up on the weeding and planting. 🌱

Ramsbottom Central update: Thank you, Hazel & Madeleine, for coming out Thursday evening to plant up St Paul's Planters with their new Summer display, to Gareth for helping prep and lay a portion of the bark on the new Tre Ciccio bed, a special thanks to the nice man who dropped off watermelon. 🍉
Last but not least thank you Bill for filling the new steps up with a further layer of bark.

Thank you Hazel W and Graham for redistributing the prims this week from St Paul's Planters to Tre Ciccio, they will form a nice band of colour next spring 🌼🌱

Well the weather's been a bit up and down hasn't it?
Volunteers have still been out working hard around Ramsbottom

Including an epic work day on Tre Ciccio and the Market Place, even the hedge next to the red telephone box got a trim!
Thank you Hazel and Madeleine for going out in the rain to plant in the summer flowers on Market Place.
It's looking much tidier.

Thank you Madeleine, Bill and Andrew for joining Heather (plus Stuart H donating gravel for the steps and St Paul's) on Wednesday, getting wet knees, down and *ahem* mucky 👀

& Thank you to a lovely local lady for her donation of Sedums, Astilbe and Fern that have been included in New Jerusalem and St Paul's.

Brilliant work everyone, I hope you all treat yourselves to a lovely warm brew when you get out of the rainy weather! ☕☔

Ramsbottom Orchard incoming 🍎🌸

These beauties will hopefully produce fruit this year!

Thank you to Heather, Bill, Graham, Paul, Phil W from RCP and Faye Armstrong from Balsam Bashing Ramsbottom who kindly came out to help on today's task day.

We had three seasons in one day and coal and rock to contend with but Ramsbottom Coal Road Apple Orchard has now been realised 🌸

Heather has put a temporary RCP garden sign on site so we are hopeful people will be respectful 🙏

This site will be magnificent in years to come once they establish and the footpaths are cut and raised planters in.

So much work has been taking place in Ramsbottom Central, from Bury New Road to Factory Street our volunteers have been busy bees 🐝

Gardens are taking shape in what used to be unused land & it looks amazing, well done team! 🪏

Thank you to Heather, Brad, Lavinia, Graham, Bill and Andrew at New Jerusalem.
The new planting at the memorial and bench, and the perennial border will really give wow factor to the garden. 🌱

The Nuttall Lane Rangers have extended their workload to now include Top Park! 🪏🌷

Last weekend our Task Day took place at the park and a lot of heavy lifting got done! ✔️

There are now rockery boarders around the park looking all lovely,

RCP Central volunteers have been working very hard making paths usable again with the brambles trimmed back, lovely flowers planted & a few surprises to spot 🐿️
