🇿🇦 WGKF APPOINTS SOUTH AFRICAN AMBASSADOR 🇿🇦
The World General Karate Federation (WGKF) is proud to announce the appointment of JP Müller as WGKF Ambassador for South Africa.
In this role, JP will support the growth of WGKF locally and serve as a strategic communication link with the South African karate community. His deep understanding of local sports governance, compliance, and provincial structures makes him uniquely qualified to build these bridges.

🤝 Leadership Built on Mandate

When approached for the role, JP prioritized transparency. As the current President of the South African Traditional Karate & Kobudo Association (SATKKA), he formally tabled the proposal at a general meeting. With the full support and mandate of the SATKKA membership, JP accepted the position.

🥋 Proven Martial Arts Governance

JP brings an exceptional track record to the position, currently serving as:
• President – South African Traditional Karate & Kobudo Association (SATKKA)
• Secretary General – Martial Arts South Africa (MASA), Western Cape
• National School Sport Commissioner – Martial Arts South Africa (MASA)
As an active head instructor, coach, and referee in Cape Town, JP has spent years developing athletes from grassroots to international levels, while spearheading modern initiatives like digital tournament management and league systems.

🧱 Building Bridges, Not Controlling

The WGKF Ambassador role is strictly designed to support, guide, and connect—not to replace or control existing national federations.
🗣️ JP Müller: "My objective is not to collect titles. It is to use my experience in business and martial arts to help WGKF understand South Africa, to help South African karate understand WGKF, and ultimately to create more opportunities for our athletes, instructors, and officials. I believe strongly in federation autonomy and good governance."
WGKF congratulates JP on his appointment and looks forward to expanding traditional karate and kobudo opportunities across South Africa.
