Clean up Bradford on Avon - CluB

This morning 15 CluB volunteers worked in lovely sunshine around the Town Centre - library car park, Bridge St, St Margaret’s St, Church Street and Church Walk. Mainly sprucing up the area, weeding, litter picking and clearing overhead vegetation from footpaths.
A couple also finished off the gutter clearing near Sainsbury’s.

6 determined CluB volunteers worked in the rain to clear 37 bags full of gutter debris and detritus in the roads around Sainsbury’s. Great work everyone.

When we weren’t escorting ducks across the road, 9 CluB volunteers litter picked & cleared more gutters & drain covers in the Fitzmaurice Close/Moulton Drive area.

An exciting morning putting our hi-vis vests to good use!
A female duck had hatched her chicks in the garden of a house in Southway Road & were being escorted to the canal.
We helped them cross Moulton Drive and they reached the canal safely . Video to follow.

9 CluB volunteers continued working on the gutters, footpaths & drains along Moulton Drive this morning.
Our focus was mainly on the Trowbridge Road end.

We visited the Southern end of Moulton Drive & Southway Road this morning. 10 CluB volunteers litter picked, reclaimed path edges and cleared gutters & drain grills. Oh, & had a great coffee break at Phil’s house - biscuits, Tunnoch’s tea cakes & Bernard’s delicious fruit cake.

What a great start to the week for 11 CluB volunteers in the balmy sunshine.
We worked in the centre of town litter picking & clearing the gutters and path edges of debris.
Mill Lane, Kingston Road, The Shambles & the Lamb Yard area look so much the better for it.
We were also pleased to be able to clean up the paved area outside offices.

On Monday 14 CluB volunteers worked in four groups, cleaning up in Bridge Street & the Library Car Park, Church Street & into St Margaret's car park. There they joined another team preparing the area for the reopening of St Margaret's Hall.
Three others litter picked South of the river, in Millie’s Garden, along St Margaret’s Street, Frome Road & Trowbridge Road plus the centre of town & some of Woolley Street.
