It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rachel Benson.

A former Bournemouth Sea Cadet and later Officer in Charge of Christchurch Sea Cadets, Rachel was full of life and a true inspiration to generations of cadets. Her dedication, kindness and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside her.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her boys and all of her family at this incredibly difficult time.

Fair winds and following seas, Rachel You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Well done to the Junuiors
who collected their certificates, badges and awards last Friday. 2 cadets were promoted, 2 Module badges were awarded, 6 Paddle Starts certificates were given out and a variety of Row 1 and Row 2 levels accomplished. Well done everyone šŸ‘

Cadet Attridge and Cadet Moss were awarded their 4th, and final, proficiency making them the only TS Phoebe Junior cadets ever to achieve all of the proficiencies, all of the modules and be awarded their Commodoreā€™s Pennant.

It took a lot of commitment to attending extra weekends and courses and to their weekly attendance but they were absolutely determined to do it and their unwavering commitment (one of the Sea Cadet Core Values) paid off. šŸ¤©

What a great 3 days on the water the Juniors have had ā€¦. Kayaking on Friday and then a weekend of Rowing thanks to support from Poole unit instructors Lt Geraghty and PO Kirkby. The cadets were amazing and we now have 5 Paddle Start certificates to give out as well as 5 Row 1 certificates and 5 Paddle Proficiency badges at the next Divisions. šŸ‘

Tonight's beach session saw fun and teamwork with a little education thrown in the mix. Thanks to Boscombe Lifeguards for facilitating a visit and learning about their work. Good to have the greens and blues all joining together.
