Blackwood Town is a local community football team that strives to develop children of all ages.

We are a volunteer run, nonprofit organization that operates year round to help kids play football locally. Blackwood Town Boys & Girls FC is here to provide you the Facebook viewer the opportunity to see how we operate as a club, and as individual squads. We have many talented age groups operating within the club and these range from Under 6’s through to under 18’s. All age groups have dedicated

accredited coaching staff that operate under the Welsh FA guidelines. It’s the clubs intention to provide a safe, friendly, professional environment for your children that provides the foundation to develop the children’s footballing skills for the future.

As our current U7 girls move up, we're looking for more players to join our U8 squad for the upcoming season!
Whether your daughter has played before or is completely new to football, we'd love to welcome her along.

⚽ Matches: Fun, festival-style fixtures on Sundays in the Gwent League (starting September)

CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

🔹 Equality Champion (All Teams) Lead the implementation of the PAWB Equality, Diversity and Inclusion framework across the club, ensuring football is accessible, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

🔹 Section Coordinator – Mixed Mini/Junior (1 Vacancy) Act as the main link between teams within the section and the Club Secretary, helping to coordinate communication, league correspondence and organisational matters.

🔹 Fixtures Secretary – Senior Teams (1 Vacancy) Coordinate and manage club fixtures, liaising with leagues, managers and opposition clubs to confirm match arrangements and pitch availability.

🔹 Volunteer Coordinator (All Teams) Support and oversee coaches and volunteers, ensuring FAW requirements are met, encouraging development opportunities, and promoting a positive, safe and inclusive environment.

🔹 Events Committee Members (All Teams) Assist with planning and delivering tournaments, fundraising events, awards evenings, fun days and other club activities that strengthen our community spirit.

🔹 Vice Chairman Work closely with the Chairman and Club Secretary to help oversee the day-to-day running and strategic development of the club. Further information about this role is available on request.

Two full weekends of celebrating our junior teams' presentation parties at the wonderful Blackwood Rugby Club!

Each year, we're reminded just how lucky we are to have such amazing volunteers, players, and supporters. Seeing the smiles on our players' faces as they receive their awards is a reward in itself and a reminder of exactly why we do what we do.

I have lots of photos and videos to go through, and I'll be uploading them all soon. We're also excited to be launching and populating our very first club TikTok account, so keep an eye out for plenty of content coming your way!

Thank you again to everyone who helped make these presentations possible. Your support, dedication, and hard work are truly appreciated, and these celebrations wouldn't happen without you.

📣 Goalkeeper Wanted for Our U15 Boys Team (2026/27 Season)! 📣

As our current U14 squad prepares to move up to U15s in September, we're looking for a dedicated goalkeeper to join the team and work alongside our existing keeper during pre-season and beyond.

📍 Pre-season Training: Mondays, 6–7pm

📍 Location: Bryn Fields, Pontllanfraith
