A huge Thank You to everyone who joined us yesterday at the Forget Me Not Dementia cafe for the Blackpool Dementia Hub .

It’s wonderful to bring people together,share experiences,make new friends and offer support to people living with Dementia ,their families and friends.

By working together,we can help to ensure that nobody feels alone and everyone feels valued,understood and supported.

We are proud to provide a safe,friendly space where friendships flourish,advice and guidance are available and everyone is encouraged to live their best lives. We are open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am till 1pm ,Marton URC,Preston Old Road,Blackpool fy3 9Ur

There’s something very special about the magic of music, the smiles, the singing along,the happy memories and the friendships that grow when we come together that makes it such a warm,welcoming place.

For people living with dementia,music can unlock treasured memories,lift spirits and create special moments of connection and happiness.

Families and friends can find understanding friendship,peer support and valuable information in a safe,caring and supportive environment.

For people living with Dementia,their families and friends,having someone who truly listens can make a huge difference.Feeling connected can help replace loneliness with friendship,anxiety with assurance and despair with hope.

We are delighted to announce that the Forget Me Not Dementia cafe and the Blackpool Dementia Hub,which is a collaboration between the Forget Me Not Dementia cafe and AgeUKlancashire will be attending the Older Person’s Fair on Friday 23 October 2026 from 9.00am till 3.00pm at the Winter Gardens Blackpool.

The event will bring together a wide range of organisations,charities,community groups and service providers offering information,advice and support for older people across the local area.

Our team will be on hand throughout the day to provide information about dementia support,local activities and advice for people living with dementia and their families.We look forward to sharing details of support available locally.

The event is FREE to attend so please come along,to say HELLO.

The Forget Me Not Dementia cafe at Marton URC would like to say a massive and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Mary and Roy for their incredible fundraising efforts and their very generous donation of £580.91 👏👏👏

Mary and Roy took on the fantastic challenge of walking around Fairhaven Lake dressed as Disney characters- bringing plenty of smiles,fun and colour along the way.🥳

What an incredible achievement and a truly wonderful way to raise money for the Forget Me Not Dementia cafe-supporting people living with dementia .

🏆🏅 OUR DRIVERS WIN THE AWARDS 🏅🏆

So when Mark, one of our Fylde Villager bus drivers isn't out and about getting people to places, he volunteers at a variety of different clubs and social groups in Blackpool (infact we would say the bus driving gets in the way of the volunteering).

One of which is Forget Me Not Demitia Cafe in Blackpool. They are a cafe based at Marton United Reform Church and they provide a safe and caring place for those living with Dementia to go to chat with others in a similar position, be it patients, families or carers 🙏

Anyway they have been nominated for the Active Blackpool Awards and Mark and his group have only gone and WON!!!

Well done to the whole team at the Forget Me Not Dementia Cafe on winning a very derserved award 🏆🏆
