We are only a small rescue and unfortunately don’t have the space to take in gulls. ❤️✨✨✨✨✨❤️🕊️

Hi, If anyone one has sent me a message in the last few hours I probably won’t be able to reply until tomorrow now. So sorry. I’m only just catching up with replying to the afternoon messages 🙈
After all the wind and rain over the last few days I knew baby birds would be getting blown out of nests etc, and I know alot of newly fledged birds will not of survived out there sadly.
When is summer arriving? 🌞 We need to tell all the baby birds to wait until then!
Even the ducks here weren’t impressed by the weather, they all wanted to come in so that says it all!! 😂🦆☔️❤️

Here because of falling from a high nest, cat attacks, injuries, and heat exhaustion. ✨✨✨✨
They are all recovering well, and of course there is Alf the king of them all, this will be his 5th year here. Still living a good life, he can’t fly and is partially sighted but happily roams the garden daily.

I’m sorry for lack of updates, I am really busy at the moment, 🙈
There are so many needing help everyday that I just haven’t been able to post much.
Most patients are doing well, there are 2 or 3 that are critical and may not recover, they are all from cat attacks. There are some that are ready for release which is fantastic but there is no way I could release anyone into this heat 🥵This is causing a back lash which is why I’ve had to refuse any more big birds at the moment. It never sits well with me when I have to say no as I know the only other option is usually being pts 😞
Anyway we have loads of pigeons , feral and wood pigeon, young and old in at the moment. Lot’s of ducklings, the one and only Gwen gosling,💛corvids, from a few days old to adult, and baby garden birds, (blackbirds/robins/ sparrows and blue tit babies) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Make sure those water baths , and bowls are filled 🚰 💧💦💧🕊️

Please be aware if you have a cat this time of year they can hear the baby birds and will predate the nests.

We had a message yesterday to say a mother duck and her chicks had been run over on the A583. 😞 There were 3 ducklings that managed to not get ploughed down and could be heard under the hedge at the side of the road. The finder stayed with them for over an hour but could not get hold of them, as they kept moving and she didn’t want to chase them back into the road.
When we arrived we could hear them but not see them, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack!
There little calls for help were getting quieter and quieter until Wayne finally spotted them and managed to catch all 3. 🐥🐥🐥It must of been such a traumatic day for them.
They had a really good feed when they got here and all nestled down together last night.✨✨✨✨
Thank you to their finder for alerting us and for staying with them.
