This young magpie came in a few days ago. They were caught by a cat, which has resulted in a few superficial wounds and a bit of damage to a wing which is stopping the bird from flying well. I’m keeping everything crossed that they will make a full recovery and can then return back to their family. 🖤🤍

This little guy is one of many that have come in over today and yesterday, but this one is more of a pet/exhibition Pigeon.
Look how small his beak is! He has a ring on so I can hopefully track his owner down.
Still horrendous weather, can’t wait for this to end!

The most beautiful little Robin ❤️
I don’t know what happened but he came in with a damaged wing, you can just see that wing is hanging down slightly. This photo was the first day he came in the next day that eye was closed and swollen a little bit, so maybe he had collided into something? The wing is taped up now and the eye has improved after regular bathing.✨✨✨✨✨
Still having pigeons turning up regularly, just managing to keep the merry go round going! Recently released a few more but the weather is going to turn wet this week now so I don’t think it will be suitable for anymore releases just yet.❤️

Coco and Colin (2 Collared Doves)have been released into the garden. ✨ Coco came in last month after being found on the ground with no other collared doves around, she was too young to be on her own and was only just learning to fly.
Colin came in this month with an injured shoulder and concussion. He recovered within a few days but I’ve kept him here to make sure he is leaving at his strongest and healthiest. Treating him for worms, and supplementing his diet with vitamins to get him in good condition for winter. ❤️
They both spent the last week together in an aviary so hopefully will stay together now released, even if it’s just whilst they learn how to live in the outside world!
They have been coming to the garden a few times each day so they haven’t forgotten where the free meals are being served up 🥰

This pigeon had a surprise when they were sat in the window after having a bath when Bunty the bunny was on the other side looking in!
