🐝 We had a lovely session yesterday, but we need your help please - we urgently need more bees for the group to continue. Yesterday there were only 3 children in attendance - we need 8-10 to cover the costs of hiring the hall. We totally get that people can’t come every week, and encourage drop ins rather than signing up, but we need to get the word out that we exist!

😊 We are a volunteer led, not for profit group that runs Bishop Middleham Bizzy Bees solely to provide a community service for children and their families in the area. The group has been going for decades. It would be so sad if the we had to stop.

🙏🏻 Please, please, please tell anyone you know about us - we are a very friendly group and we always welcome newcomers.

😔 If we don’t get more attendees, it looks like this coming half term will be our last….

📍Every Monday in term time, 9-11am, drop in anytime. £4 per child, £2 for additional children. Price includes snack, craft and hot drinks for the adults. And there’s usually cake!

Tickets are still available for our fundraising Fashion Show next week. Fundraising events like these are vital for keeping the Hall open and maintained for all to enjoy, as well as supporting a charity close to our hearts - Parkinson's UK.
Why not come along, have a glass of fizz and treat yourself to some of the clothing and accessories on sale on the night (cash or card)!

*Chi Taekwondo are proud to announce the opening of another club at Bishop Middleham village hall on Monday 27th April.*

Taekwondo is a traditional martial art originating from Korea. Students practicing the martial art can expect to learn a full range of skills including kicking, punching, self-defence and patterns (poomsae).

Taekwondo is excellent for building confidence, learning about respecting yourself and others and teaches strong ethics and moral values for children and adults alike.

It is a martial art for everyone and contrary to popular belief, young people who study Martial Arts such as Taekwondo do not spend their time looking for a chance to show off their skills and what they know. But rather in realising their capabilities, they search to avoid conflict at all costs.
The serious atmosphere in which classes are conducted instils a sense of respect for the art in all students, young and old.

The two lead instructors are Master Mike Britton and Master Phil Hodgson who have many years of experience between them.
Monday night 27th April (6 - 8pm) will be an open free night when people can come and give it a try and everyone is welcome.

We're also looking for volunteers to help on the night, whether that's modelling, helping organise the clothing/accessories, selling raffle tickets or helping on the bar. Message us is you can help.
