Durham students looking for an affirming church community, come and see! The Inclusive Christian Movement Durham have got you, Sunday 4th October, 10.30 at Elvet Methodist. :)

Durham City Methodists are hosting a welcome lunch tomorrow, after their 10:30am service. The service will last around an hour. You’re welcome to come to just the service, just the lunch or both! Everyone is welcome, regardless of your faith background.

This looks like a very interesting and worthwhile event for folk near enough to York. Tomorrow, 3rd October at St Luke's.

Particularly good to know that North-East voices are an embedded part of this too :) (I know, I'm biased)

For those of you who are so inclined, here's some protests happening in the next wee while you might want to engage with.

I personally particularly like the idea/offer to link up with others cos it's the only way I'd ever be able to go to one for sure! And even then it's probably beyond me.

I remain grateful to those who can do this witness work tho.

I've written a blog post "Q***rly Beloved", a personal reflection on the choosing of names, labels and how language evolves.

Longer than my usual pieces for Inclusive Church but as LGBTQ history month starts in the USA and Canada today it seemed appropriate to share!

Great to spend the morning up in Newcastle hearing Charlie Bączyk-Bell speaking about the possibility of Q***r Theology to reframe and improve our understanding and appreciation of the place of inclusive theology within a narrative we define through the way we live and love.

And there was cake and rivers of coffee. Yay!

Followed by refreshments and chit chat time.
