💜✨ SORRY WE’VE BEEN A LITTLE QUIET… BUT TRUST ME, WE’VE BEEN BUSY! ✨💜
September saw us back into the school routine, straight into preparing for our very own hosted dance competition, before October brought one of the BIGGEST dance competitions of the year for Tapshoes & Tutus! 🏆💃
The studio has been absolutely FULL of amazing rehearsals, hard work, dedication and so many exciting things happening behind the scenes! 🥹💜
To every single dancer who took part in our recent competitions… YOU WERE AMAZING! 🌟 Miss Amy was bursting with pride watching you all perform, seeing your confidence shine and witnessing all that hard work paying off. Never underestimate how proud I am of each and every one of you! 🥰👏
And October isn’t over yet! 👀🎃
We’ve got our Halloween parties to enjoy,
November brings our awards ceremony to look forward to, and not mention making a start on dance exams keeping our dancers focused and working hard! 🕷️🏆🩰 There is never a dull moment at Purple Door! 💜
Some of our girls are also preparing for their November performances in Durham with The Voices of Tapestry another exciting opportunity for our talented performers to take to the stage!
Meanwhile, over at Respect Theatre and Tapshoes & Tutus, Christmas show rehearsals are in FULL SWING! 🎄🎅 Songs to learn, dances to perfect, lines to remember and lots of Christmas magic being created!
Behind the scenes, Miss A has also been busy enrolling all our Dance Leaders onto their courses through the Core Memories Foundation 💜, helping develop the next generation of confident leaders, while constantly searching for funding and opportunities to keep our CIC growing and providing opportunities for our community.
Running a community interest company is certainly not for the faint-hearted! Between teaching, rehearsals, competitions, Halloween parties, awards, exams, Christmas shows, leadership courses, funding applications and all the endless admin… there is ALWAYS something to do! 😂🤦♀️
But do you know what? I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY! 💜
Purple Door Studio CIC is about so much more than dance and theatre. It’s about confidence, friendships, opportunities, teamwork, leadership and giving every child the chance to shine. ✨
To our dancers, actors, parents, families, Volunteers and supporters — thank you for being part of our little Purple Door family. Your continued support means the world, and I am so proud of everything we are building together. 🥹💜
We may have been quiet on socials, but behind those purple doors… WE NEVER STOP! 🚪💜
