The lights night is on Friday the 20th Nov not the Saturday. Must be having a senior moment!

FOOD BANK - There is now a box in the back of St Johh the Baptist Church. Any donations for East Riding Food Bank can be deposited there. The church is open from about 10am until dusk eveyday if anyone wants to visit. Although it is not in the Parish magazine there will be a Church Craft morning on Wednesday the 21st October. 10.30am until 12noon.

A big Thankyou to all who helped with the quiz last night especially Judy who made the tasty cakes. Thanks too to everyone who took part. It was the first time as quiz masters for Lesley and myself. We both appreciated everyones good humour. We raised £133 for the playing field.

It has been great listening to kids playing in the field today, but didn't expect this little deer to push through the hedge!

Midsummer Day! Where has the sun gone? I thought it would be a good day to take photos of our Ash Trees so that we can keep a record of their health and see how they are affected by Ash die back. The big Ash tree down Water Lane looks quite healthy, but the two Ash Trees near the goal posts have a bit of die back. We are going to have them pollarded. This might help them recover a bit and will keep them stable and less likely to drop dead branches.

Two events in the week - First go at social in the field and with tables almost spilling out of the marquee.
MANY thanks to Chris and Rachel for another tooth grinding quiz and everyone that turned up. Thanks to Brandesburton Pizza for sorting the large order quickly and efficiently.

No Precipitation Expected. Finally some better weather on Friday. We are looking forward to our social night in the Village Field tomorrow 7pm. Bring you own food and refreshments. Adult beverages welcome. We have a few plastic glasses, bring your own if you can. If you want to join our takeaway order from Brandesburton Pizza please bring cash and change. We will phone in the order shortly after people arrive at 7pm. There will be a Quiz and Welly Throwing for those who want to join in. There is no charge for entry. If you have not spent up at the Dog show donations are welcome, but no pressure.
