Hornsea Inshore Rescue HORNSEA INSHORE RESCUE- Saving lives along the East Yorkshire Coast since 1994 We receive no funding from either the RNLI or the government.

Hornsea Inshore Rescue is an independent lifeboat station serving the East Yorkshire coast. Established as a registered charity in 1994 after the removal of a HM Coastguard patrol boat, we continue to provide a life-saving service 24 hours a day. Please visit our website to make a donation.

3 of our very excited regulars from the Hornsea Boat Launch & Shop yesterday after they recovered from a days fishing and spotted one of their fishing idols, YouTube celebrity fisherman "Happy Ho**er," who traveled to us with 2 other boats for a day of fishing with friends off our coast. With all profits made coming straight to the charity, its great to see everyone so happy and enjoying their days out on the boats.

🚨 CALL OUT 🚨 04/10/26 12.20

Hornsea Inshore Rescue were today tasked by Humber Coastguard to reports of a Jetski rider in difficulty in the water near Skipsea.

Within minutes of the pagers sounding our lifeboat, Spirit of Hornsea, launched on service and made best speed towards the jetski's reported position.

On route crew spotted 3 jet skis riding South and stopped to confirm they were not in difficulty and hadn't seen anyone struggling in the water.

Crew proceeding to Skipsea and confirmed no one was in the area on a jekski and there was no sign of anyone in difficulty. A small shoreline search was conducted but nothing was found. We were stood down by HM Coastguard, returned to station, washed down, refueled and readied the boat back for service.

We believe this call out was a false alarm with good intent.

Hornsea Inshore Rescue are extremely saddened to hear of the very sad loss of one of Rnli Hastings Lifeboat Station crew members this week and would like to send our deepest condolences to everyone at the station.

Our thoughts go out to everyone at the station and the crew members friends and family at this very sad, difficult time.

A fishing match was organised in aid of Hornsea Inshore Rescue over the weekend, and numerous boats from our compound, the boat club and day launchers came for a day of competitive fishing on their boats. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and to Rob for organising the event.

Prizes were awarded up to 3rd place with ling being the winning fish for all 3 positions.

1st place Rob 6.01lb
2nd place Mike 5.01lb
3rd place Adrian 4.07lb

A wonderful day had by all and thank you to everyone involved.

Good evening everyone,

Due to staff holidays, our Cafe and shop will be closed Monday and Tuesday this week(21st &22nd Septermber).

Last night was Rosie's Final training session with us before she heads off to University to start studying as a marine biologist.

Rosie first got her taste of Hornsea Inshore Rescue when she attended a week with us for her work experience placement with school, and it was clear she was going to succeed in life at everything she does.

As soon as Rosie turned 18, she returned to train with us as a crew member, quickly becoming fully qualified and a hugely valuable part of our team. She also worked extremely hard in our boat launch cafe and shop, were all profits come directly to the charity.

We're incredibly proud of her, and we would ike to thank Rosie for everything she's done and achieved, and we wish her every success and all the best with her studies at University and future.

She will still be a huge part of our team during holidays when she's back in Hornsea and we look forward to hearing about her time at University.
