Pumpkin pie at The Swan Youth Centre yesterday! 🎃🥧

Our young people got busy in the kitchen, mixing, stirring and turning pumpkin into a tasty homemade treat.

There was lots of teamwork, laughter and a few tasty experiments — and the pies turned out brilliantly!

To finish, we enjoyed hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. ☕😋

A cosy and delicious Wednesday at The Swan! 🎃

🍛 Yesterday, during our Year 12 Life Skills session at Ashlyns School, we made chickpea curry with rice and crispy poppadoms!

Everyone got involved in preparing and eating the meal! 😋

The curry turned out really well, and everyone agreed it was delicious. We even had a chat about what else we could add next time to make it even better!

Well done to everyone who cooked and enjoyed lovely lunch! 👏

HUGE thanks to Berkhamsted_Rotary for the support you have given me at the Swan Youth Project Berkhamsted over the past 5 years. Your kindness has been invaluable in delivering a service that promotes upskilling and wellbeing of young people in our community as well as ensuring they get a daily hot meal. This has been possible through your donations and celebration of our members through your Junior Rotary Awards. In addition a musicals gold edition quiz with a box of chocolates donated to The Swan by the winning team. So grateful for your past support and the team look forward to working with you going forward on this wonderful collaboration. Thanks to all that have been part of this journey. 🙏🏽

🎃🍪 What a lovely start to the week at The Swan!

Yesterday’s Halloween Biscuit Making session was full of creativity, laughter and some brilliant biscuit designs!

For some of our young people, it was their first time using an air fryer, while others had a go at making biscuit dough from scratch. Everyone got stuck in, tried something new and enjoyed every part of the process, especially eating their creations! 😋

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers Jennie Hart, Lesley Drake, Susan Holmes and Susan Woodhams for giving their time and helping make the session such an enjoyable experience for everyone. ❤️

Just look at some of these amazing biscuits! 👀🍪

A lovely morning catching up with supporters of the Swan Youth Project Berkhamsted and those who have helped me deliver workshops events and lots more. A HUGE thanks to Paul, Jackie and Anne Foster for their help. We look forward to your ongoing support but a few more lessons in pouting required!
