Hello Hello! We are currently looking for a couple more hands and thought why not advertise here too!

We are quite a small team, looking for somebody who can fill as many roles as possible. Any level of experience considered, so long as you are willing to learn.

The Baltasound Hotel could be for sale to the community in the future. The owner recently raised this subject with us. UP then approached the Scottish Land Fund to advise/assist on this. SLF can provide funding for a Stage One study for consultants to look at the property and the business for an initial assessment.

This study could then be used, if the community is supportive, to move to Stage Two, where an application is made for 80-95% of the purchase price, determined by an Independent Valuation. (The shortfall would need to be made up by local fund-raising/shares/donations, etc.)

SLF has asked us to show initial community support for this, even if it is just to do a Stage One feasibilty study on the Hotel. We have drawn up a short survey to look at that. Copies will also be available shortly in local shops.

This does not commit us to going forward with a Stage Two application - unless there is clear community support, after the Stage One study has been completed, and discussed publicly.
