Axminster Helps is an initiative which was launched earlier this year by Axminster Town Council, providing quick, simple access to support for mental and physical health, financial worries, emotional support and local advice at a point of need.
A quick mobile phone scan of an Axminster Helps QR code found around town will take you to a website where you can choose the support you need from a succinct list of relevant support services in just a few taps - no account or subscription required and no lengthy directory to scroll through.
Councillor Trish Warwick, who brought the idea to the Town Council following a round table discussion at a multi-agency Youth Forum, said:
