🦫 Avoch Beavers 🦫

Terrific session on the water last night with the Muirtown Sea Scout group. Bellboating, kayaking and several rounds of the hokey kokey with a final dip in the water.

Our beavers made us proud with their fantastic behaviour and willingness to have a go….. well done to all 👏🏻

Loads of photos…. sorry…. not sorry 🤣 Hopefully all the beavers captured as it’s difficult to tell when they all look the same in their water kit!!

🌿 Cubs Update – Naturalist Badge Session
Our Cubs had a brilliant evening this week as they continued their work toward the Naturalist Badge.
Here’s what they got up to:
Played a traditional African game to kick things off with lots of fun and energy
Explored nature outdoors while completing a nature‑observation worksheet
Finally finished the hanging baskets they made earlier in the term 🐵
The Cubs threw themselves into every activity — plenty of teamwork, curiosity, and happy cubs 😊

🦫 Avoch Beavers 🦫

Tonight was health and fitness night. The Beavers learned about heart rates and how they change with exercise/at rest, they designed healthy eating posters and discussed about what are healthy snacks, topped off with lots of agility activities 👏🏻

🦫 Avoch Beavers 🦫

Last night the Beavers had a fantastic time with the local fire crew. They learned about what to do in a house fire, breathing apparatus, and the various pieces of equipment in and around the fire appliance. Then to top it off the obligatory soaking with the hoses 😆

Thank-you very much for having us Fortrose Fire Station.

Apologies to our parents/carers/siblings who got a bit of a soaking across the fence 🫣🤣
