What a brilliantly easy service we had today!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Community Lunch. We served a modest 44 mains and puddings, and received £110.97 in donations. Every donation is very much appreciated and helps us keep doing what we do. 🥰

Many thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers who helped with all the preparations, cooking, serving and clearing up today. We really couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

We couldn’t resist sharing this photo of our wonderful volunteers having a bit of fun during the clean-up! 😂❤️ After working so hard throughout the whole service, it’s lovely to see there was still time for a little silliness!

Join us tomorrow, Thursday 3rd September, for another delicious Community Lunch! 💛

On the menu we have a comforting homemade one-pot chicken casserole, made with whole boneless chicken thighs, potatoes and fresh vegetables.

Vegetarian option available on request. 🌱

And for pudding, there’s homemade pineapple upside-down cake with custard 🍍🍰

As always, signposting and support is available. If you require any assistance, just ask a member of our team and we’ll be happy to help. 💛

It was wonderful to welcome everyone, and we’re so grateful for your support. Today we served 62 mains and 59 puddings, and received an amazing £160.05 in donations. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

A huge thank you to today’s fantastic team: Adam, Gerry, Jennie, Karen, Taila, Trevor and Stephen for all your hard work in making the lunch such a success. 👏

BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY LUNCH 💛

Join us tomorrow for a delicious community lunch at The Chambers!

On the menu:
🍗 Grilled chicken thighs with a creamy leek & bacon sauce, mashed potatoes and peas.

🍌 Homemade banoffee cheesecake with vanilla ice cream for dessert!

It’s the Bank Holiday weekend, so why not come along, enjoy some good food and spend time in good company? 😊

💗 Everyone is welcome! There’s no charge for lunch, although donations are always very welcome and greatly appreciated.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today! 💗

Despite being arranged and advertised at short notice, we still had a lovely turnout and raised a fabulous £434 for Breast Cancer Now! 🎀

We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our incredible volunteers. Following a serious incident involving one of our volunteers yesterday, our preparations were understandably thrown into disarray, but we had a fantastic team step in to make sure the afternoon tea could still go ahead.

💗 Emma and Jennie were the dream team, making sandwiches and holding the fort while Sam got busy baking the cakes. Then our last-minute reinforcements, Tasha, Kirsty and Lucan, came in to help assemble the pastries and tackle the clean-up, alongside Stephen and Taila.

It really was a brilliant team effort, and we’re so grateful to every single person who helped make today possible 💗

Thank you all so much for coming, contributing and supporting such a fantastic cause! 🎀

🍔 THIS THURSDAY BURGERS ARE BACK 🍔

After how popular our Build a Burger session was at the start of the summer holidays, we’ve decided to bring it back for one more interactive lunch! 😋

Join us this Thursday from 12pm–2pm to create your very own burger, choosing from a selection of tasty toppings and sauces to make it just the way you like it. 🍔🧀🥓🥗

Then for dessert, enjoy a Banana Split 🍌🍨 with plenty of delicious toppings to choose from!

🧡 Everyone is welcome – all ages! Whether you’re joining us with family, friends or as one of our regular visitors, we’d love to see you.

💗 OUR BREAST CANCER NOW AFTERNOON TEA IS BACK ON! 💗

We’re pleased to confirm that our postponed Afternoon Tea in support of Breast Cancer Now has now been rearranged and will take place this Friday 28th August. 🫖🍰

Join us for an afternoon of tea, homemade cakes and good company as we come together to support this important cause. 💕

All donations received on the day will be donated to Breast Cancer Now.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone and hope you can join us! 💗

Good food, good company, stronger community 💛

It was a very busy service today, and we were delighted to serve:
🍽️ 85 mains
🍰 80 puddings
❤️ £246.45 received in donations

All of this was made possible by a small but mighty team of just five volunteers: Gerry, Jane, Stephen, Taila and Trevor, with Nigel joining us for the clean-up afterwards!

We also had a little extra help from Chole and Benji, who did a brilliant job helping to run the desserts out. 🍰👏

We’re not sharing our usual food photos today as we were simply too busy to get any! Instead, we’ve got a photo of The Chambers packed out with visitors, which says it all!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and supported our service. We’re incredibly proud of what our volunteers achieved with such a small team. 💛
