👮‍♂️ Community Police Engagement Session at Hirst Welfare Centre 👮‍♀️

Our local Community Police team are at Hirst Welfare Centre this morning until 1:00pm for an informal community engagement session.

If you have any concerns, issues in your area, or simply want to chat with your local officers, please feel free to drop in.

Tea, coffee and a warm welcome will be available.

Today we were proud to represent Hirst Welfare at the Northumberland Miners’ Picnic and Memorial Service at Woodhorn.

Founded through the contributions of local miners, Hirst Welfare has always been part of the story of Ashington’s mining communities. The Welfare was created to support miners and their families, providing opportunities for recreation, wellbeing and community life.

As we laid our wreath, we remembered the generations whose hard work, sacrifice and resilience helped shape our town. Their legacy lives on in the communities and organisations that continue to serve local people today.

Never forgotten. ❤️
