🌸 Monday Mindfulness with Michelle 2026 🌸

GOOD MORNING!

Welcome to Week 3 of our June Lunchtime Pick-Me-Up

It's 11:45, and before the afternoon begins, I'd like you to check in with yourself for a moment.

Not your emails…..Not your diary…...Not your to-do list. YOU!

Have you hydrated today?
Have you stepped outside for a breath of fresh air?
Have you moved away from your desk, even for a few minutes?

When life gets busy, the simplest things are often the first things we forget. Yet they're usually the things that help us feel a little calmer, clearer and more able to cope.

So, today's lunchtime pick-me-up is this:

Refill your water bottle.
Stretch your legs.
Open a window.
Step outside for sixty seconds if you can.

Give your mind and body a chance to pause and refuel before carrying on.

You don't need to earn a break. You don't need permission to look after yourself.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is stop for a moment and recharge.

Be gentle with yourself this afternoon. The rest of the day can wait a minute! πŸ’›

🫢 Today's lunchtime reminder:
You cannot pour from an empty cup. Take a moment to refill yours.

🌸 Smile On Sunday! 🌸

Last week at our Billesdon In The Pink Breast Cancer Rehab Programme, we were reminded that recovery and wellbeing come in many forms!

Over a cuppa and plenty of chat, our lovely group spent time catching up, supporting one another and even organising their WhatsApp group. There was much laughter as plans were made for future coffee and cake meet-ups … and it was jokingly pointed out that not a single exercise activity had been mentioned!

What shone through was just how important these connections have become. While the programme may bring people together, it's the friendships, shared experiences, understanding and support that develops that become so important.

Seeing this sense of community grow is incredibly special. The encouragement, laughter and companionship found around the table are every bit as valuable as any activity we do.

Here's to friendship, coffee and of course, cake! and the wonderful community that continues to flourish within In The Pink.

🌞 Friday Focus: Summer Declutter Challenge – Week 2

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Week 1 of our Summer Declutter Challenge! We loved seeing the likes and shares and we're ready for our next small step towards a lighter, calmer home this summer.

This week we're focusing on the kitchen cupboards and/or pantry!

It's one of the busiest areas in the home and can easily become home to duplicate items, half-used packets and things we've completely forgotten about!

Why tackle the kitchen? Because knowing what you have, where it is and creating a little extra space can make everyday life that tiny bit easier!

Your challenge:
✨ Spend just 10–15 minutes on one cupboard, shelf or drawer.
✨ Check expiry dates.
✨ Group similar items together.
✨ Clear out anything you no longer need or use.

Remember, this isn't about perfection. It's about taking small, manageable steps that help our homes work better for us.

And, of course, when you've finished get the kettle on, make yourself that well-earned cup of tea and enjoy that feeling of accomplishment!

We would love to hear from you, tell us:

Awareness Wednesday: Keeping You Informed

πŸ’œ Carers Week: Celebrating the people who care πŸ’œ

When we talk about breast cancer, we often focus on the person diagnosed. But today, we would like to take a moment to recognise the people standing beside them.

The partners who become appointment companions. The daughters and sons who quietly take on extra responsibilities. The friends who check in, pick up prescriptions, make meals, listen and simply are there when it matters most.

So many carers never call themselves carers. They're just doing what needs to be done for someone they love.

But caring can be exhausting, emotional and sometimes quite lonely.

This Carers Week, we want all those that care in our community to know that we see you too!

Thank you for the lifts to hospital, the late-night conversations, the cups of tea, the reassurance, the patience, the strength and your love.

You make an incredible difference, and our breast cancer community would not be the same without you.

THANK YOU!

🌸 Monday Mindfulness with Michelle 2026 🌸

GOOD MORNING!

Welcome to Week 2 of our June Lunchtime Pick-Me-Up

As we pause at 11:45 today, I'd like you to take a moment to think about everything you've already managed this morning. Not the things that are still waiting on your to-do list. Not the jobs you haven't got around to yet. Just the things you have done.

Perhaps you've been to work. Perhaps you've cared for someone else. Perhaps you've made a difficult phone call. Perhaps you've simply got yourself through a challenging morning.

Whatever it looks like, you've made it this far today. That counts!

We can be very good at noticing what we haven't done, but not always so good at recognising what we have!

So, today's lunchtime pick-me-up is simple:

Take a slow breath.
Think of one thing you've achieved this morning.
Give yourself credit for it.
Then carry that sense of achievement with you into the afternoon.

Small wins still matter.
Small steps still move us forward.
And progress doesn't have to be perfect to count.

Be gentle with yourself today. You're doing better than you think πŸ’›

🫢 Today's lunchtime reminder:
Give yourself the same encouragement you would give to a friend!

🌸 Smile On Sunday! 🌸

"Sharing stories, building strength, and supporting one another - Week 5 in Billesdon was filled with inspiration, connection, and plenty of smiles." πŸ’•

At Week 5 of our In the Pink Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Programme in Billesdon, we were delighted to welcome Rese, who joined us for the whole session.

Many of you may remember that Rese bravely shaved her head to raise funds for the programme. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to thank her in person and for our ladies to hear about her fundraising journey and the motivation behind it.

The support of fundraisers like Rese plays a vital role in helping us continue to provide the In the Pink Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Programme free of charge to those who need it. Every pound raised helps us offer specialist support, exercise, education, and a welcoming community for individuals recovering from breast cancer.

The session included plenty of conversation, laughter, tea and, of course, cake, as we celebrated a participants birthday making it a truly special morning for everyone involved.

A huge thank you, Rese, for your incredible support, generosity and commitment to helping others. You are making a real difference. πŸ’—

πŸ’œ National Cancer Survivors Day - 7 June 2026 πŸ’œ

Today, we celebrate and honour cancer survivors everywhere.

Whether your journey has involved breast cancer or any other type of cancer, your strength, courage and resilience inspire us all. Every survivor's path is unique, marked by challenges, victories, hope and determination.

We recognise those who are living with and beyond cancer, those currently undergoing treatment and the families, friends, caregivers and healthcare professionals who provide support along the way.

As a breast cancer support community, we stand in solidarity with everyone affected by cancer. Today, we celebrate survivors, remember loved ones who are no longer with us and continue to offer hope, encouragement and support to all who need it.

πŸ’œ If you are a survivor, we'd love to hear from you. Share your story, a milestone or a message of hope in the comments.

Together, we are stronger.

🌞 Friday Focus: Summer Declutter Challenge – Week 1

June has arrived, and the summer months just around the corner (fingers crossed!) we're launching our Summer Declutter Challenge!

Over the next four Fridays we'll be focusing on one area of the home at a time helping you create more space, reduce stress and get your home feeling lighter and brighter for the months ahead.

Why declutter in summer? Because a clutter-free home is easier to enjoy, easier to maintain, and gives you more time and energy for the things that matter most.

This week, we're starting small with your hallway or porch, the space that welcomes you home every day.

Your challenge:
✨ Spend just 10–15 minutes clearing, tidying or organising this area.
✨ No perfection required – every little bit counts.
✨ Take a before-and-after photo if you'd like.

Most importantly, we'd love you to join in and share your achievements in the comments. Whether you've cleared a single shelf, sorted out a pile of shoes or transformed the whole space, let's celebrate the progress together and inspire each other along the way.

Remember, this isn't about creating a perfect home. It's about taking small, manageable steps that make everyday life feel a little easier.

And when you've finished? Put the kettle on, make yourself a well-earned cup of tea and enjoy that feeling of accomplishment. β˜•οΈ
