We are pleased to update our Group Delivery on My Autistic Self programme.

Over the summer, we delivered both face-to-face and online My Autistic Self groups to 38 members across Central Bedfordshire, Flitwick, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, and Milton Keynes.

As we move into autumn, we are continuing to support 22 members per week through a combination of face-to-face and online sessions.

It has been encouraging to see members connecting with others who share similar experiences, accessing information, and building confidence while they wait for assessment or come to terms with a recent diagnosis.

Wrapping up Friday with our Friday Back to Nature group attended the National Trust Ashridge Estate in September.

Members hiked the 5.5.km Ramblers Trail around the estate taking in beautiful sights and sounds along the way – including wild mushrooms, a herd of rare breed White Park cows, sweet chestnuts and a kestrel swooping down for his lunch!

Learners from our Post-16 Specialist Provision are gaining valuable work experience in The Accessible Workshop, developing practical carpentry skills while also building communication, teamwork and confidence in a real working environment.

These hands-on opportunities help prepare learners for future employment, volunteering, and greater independence.

Thank you to Findlay Park Partners LLP for supporting our learners.

This new TV/monitor screen, purchased through funding from Findlay Park Partners LLP, is already being used to support learners on our NOCN Level 1 Award in Carpentry. In this session, learners were exploring essential health and safety principles before putting their skills into practice.

The screen will be used every week throughout the programme, helping tutors deliver engaging, interactive learning and ensuring learners can access important information clearly and effectively.

We're grateful for this investment in our learning environment and the positive difference it will make to learners' experiences.

💜 Supporting Hannah's Fundraising Challenge 💜

Our colleague Hannah is running a half to in memory of her Grandad and in support of her Stepfather-in-Law, who suffered a mini stroke that has left him unable to work.

Hannah is raising money to help support families affected by stroke and to increase awareness of the signs and impact of stroke. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference.

If you're able to support Hannah in reaching her goal of £350, please consider donating and helping raise of this important cause.
