What a lovely day for a bit of w**ding and planting ☀️☀️☀️
We added some more propagated plants (Salvia caradonna, dwarf budleja, blue asters, Perovskia blue spire and some Seslaria Autumnalis grass) to the main entrance borders.

The Fushia cuttings the propagation team took a month ago are looking great 😎💚

Great to see the contractors cutting the wildflower meadow, they also removed the spent waste which is important to ensure the soil has minimal nutrients which benefits the flowers as they don’t have to compete with grasses 🌺🌼🪻🦋🐝🐞🪲

💚💚 Weekend volunteers needed 💚💚

Would you like to join our lovely NHS volunteer group rejuvenating the outdoor spaces at Amersham hospital making them beautiful spaces for staff, patients and visitors to relax and recharge in nature.

We looking for people who :
Have a keen interest in gardening, biodiversity, nature, and its benefit to health and well being.
Are confident to plant, prune and w**d.
Would like to be part of a friendly group making a difference in the local community.
We meet once a month (either Sat or Sun morning 10.00-12.00 during the gardening year.

Another satisfying and productive afternoon propagating in the polytunnel 😎💚

We potted on Salvia, Erigeron and Coneflower seedlings and took lots of semi ripe cuttings (Fushia, Budleja, Mahonia, Saracococca, Aster, Pervoskia)
