A Great Big Thank you to VOLUNTARY SUPPORT NORTH SURRY. Chertsey Branch. Who all work tirelessly supporting us all in Runnymede. Thank you Jo Buckell for the amazing Easter Eggs collection again this Year for all our local groups. These are donated from local Companies.

A very Happy Birthday to Julie and Kevin yesterday. Julie being a past carer of her wonderful husband, and Kevin who’s dear wife is now is a Care Home. They discovered they were both born on the same day. This is what our Dementia Carers Support is all about. Making sure that Dementia Carers have a life with their loved ones on the long journey of Dementia, and still welcome to stay with us when they have said goodbye to them.

A lovely Breakfast treat for some of our Dementia Carers and their loved ones, and Past Carers, at Longacres today. There is nothing like having a lovely cooked breakfast to start the day (and no washing up!!)

A big thank you to Simon Hayes of Ron Hayes & Son on New Haw Broadway for our Charity collection box on the counter. We counted out £47.00 for our Club. It helps so much for us to continue running our Club, helping as much as possible of Carers looking after there loved ones with Dementia. It’s a long long sad journey with no light at the end of the tunnel.

Lovely last meeting day of this year for Dementia Carers Support, Runnymede. So much laughter, and a great big thank you to our great Volunteers, Ray, Ann,Vanda,Janine,
Derek and our Tony. It was like being at Kew Gardens. The Flowers to smell, the Wine to relax. Also more flowers for Ann & Vanda from our group, Janine presented them, as they missed out on or Christmas Lunch.
A very very Happy Christmas to you
All. And let us hope for a Happy, Healthy New Year.

What a lovely Christmas Party at Longacres yesterday. Thank you all the staff for a delicious Christmas Dinner. And an enormous thank you to all of our Group at Dementia Carers Support for a ‘knockout’ present for myself and Derek. This has been the most wonderful ever ‘thankyou’ from you all. Looking forward to many more events for us all in 2026. A Very Happy Christmas to you all.

Lovely afternoon enjoying a very nice Buffet and a Fun Raffle. It is such a joy to be with such a lovely group of people. All having a connection with Dementia. Mostly Carers who have been or still are looking after a loved one with Dementia.
One of Dementia Carers Support outings for such amazing people. Our special guest, past Runnymede Mayor Councillor Elaine Gill. Who had supported us for so many years.
