We live in society that moves so fast that our brain finds it hard to catch up,well today some of the residents at Lake house decided to go back in time and recall some of the memories that make them who they are today.
Banbury museum is a small museum with a big heart โ™ฅ๏ธtaking the residents back in time when they were younger working at Banbury Guardian using printing blocks to produce the local paper and going to Rathbone butcher to collect your meat.

Itโ€™s amazing what you find out when you make time to pause and listen
One of our residents obtained the highest award you can achieve in the scouts when he was 18 (Queen scout)
Ever heard of of it ?
Well I did some research and itโ€™s a very rare award ,it originated in 1909 under king Edward VII as the kingโ€™s scout badge then renamed Queens scout in 1953 after Queen Elizabeth II accession
Recipients were invited to Windsor castle to do a parade itโ€™s the most respected youth achievement in scouting
Everyone has a story whatโ€™s yours?

๐Ÿค One event. Lots of local support.

One of the reasons we wanted to organise the OSJCT Banbury Community Care Fair was to make it easier for people to discover the incredible range of support that already exists within our communities.

On Thursday, organisations from across health, social care, dementia support, carers support, home care, later-life advice, wellbeing and community services will come together at Longford Park Community Centre.

For members of the public, itโ€™s an opportunity to ask questions and discover support.

For families and carers, itโ€™s a chance to meet organisations face-to-face and understand what help is available.

And for professionals, itโ€™s also a valuable opportunity to connect with other local services, build relationships and understand where we can signpost people when they need support.

If you work with people across Banbury and the surrounding area, weโ€™d really appreciate you sharing the event with your clients, patients, colleagues and professional networks.

The more people we reach, the more people we can hopefully connect with the right support. ๐Ÿ’™

Really looking forward to our OSJCT Banbury Community Care Fair next week! ๐Ÿ’™

Itโ€™s been great bringing together such a wide range of local organisations and services for the day, all with a shared aim of helping people access the information, advice and support available within their community.

Weโ€™ll have organisations joining us from across health, social care, dementia and carers support, wellbeing, home care, later-life services and more โ€“ alongside our own OSJCT teams.

These events are also a great opportunity to strengthen the relationships between organisations working across our communities and make it easier for people to know where to turn when they need support.

๐Ÿ“… Thursday 1st October
โฐ 10.30am โ€“ 2.00pm
๐Ÿ“ Longford Park Community Centre, Banbury

It would be fantastic to see plenty of people from across Banbury and the surrounding communities joining us on the day.

If you work locally, please do share this with your networks and help us spread the word. ๐Ÿค

Thinking about care for yourself or someone you love? ๐Ÿ’™

Whether youโ€™re starting to think about care for the future, supporting a loved one or simply want to understand what help is available locally, come along and have a chat with our team.

Weโ€™d love to welcome you and help you discover what support is available in your local community. ๐Ÿ’™
