Nice hoodie 🤩

Well, we’re in it again!

The CAMRA Good B**r Guide 2027 has landed &, once again, you’ll find The Shoulder of Mutton in its pages.

We’ve been included every year since we took over The Mutton nearly 9 years ago — something we’re incredibly proud of.

A big thank you to our local CAMRA branches, our brilliant local breweries &, of course, all of you who come through the door & help us get through rather a lot of real ale! 🍻

Here’s to another year of doing what we love— keeping a good pint in a proper pub.

Happening this weekend is Humpty Dumpty Brewery open weekend 🍺

Line up looks great 👌

Our friends at Tombstone Saloon Bar & Brewery also have a b**r festival this weekend.

Absolutely love these late summer events🍺👌

Check out this lovely line up that's currently settling ready for Taproom open weekend - Birthday party 🎉🥳🍺

Check out our latest brew 👀
Aquamaniac 🏊 a brand new 5% IPA. This b**r has been especially brewed in time for next week's Great Yarmouth B**r and circus festival. However, open weekend customers will get the opportunity to try it a week early.

We also have the last Cask of our summer special Lothbrok pale & we stashed a Branch line bitter away especially for this weekend.

Some of our usual classics are on the stillage as always.

If ale is not your thing we have plenty of C***r, L***r, gin, w**e and soft drinks.

We look forward to welcoming you all very soon 🍺🍺

Last weekend some of the b**r festival team headed up to glorious north Norfolk.

All in the name of "research, team building & development"!!

We spent many hours enjoying the countryside on our bikes 🚴🚴🚴

We also had to stop for several hydration breaks, as these are now a thing.🌡️🍺🍺

1st up was a brewery we have never visited before, Malt Coast brewing. A delightful little setting with some fantastically crafted b**rs.

Next we headed over to Duration Brewing to catch up with the team and sample a few of their offerings. Again if you have never visited the taproom at West Acre it really is a must!!

Saturday was a long day in the saddle to visit Downham C***r. We have always stocked their products. It was nice to properly meet the people behind it all and see where it's all being made.

We would like to thank everyone for their hospitality. One thing we have learnt running AWBF is that people in the brewing industry work incredibly hard. The industry is currently facing all sorts of headwinds. Yet these good people still turn up day in, day out, bang out outstanding products we can all enjoy together.

When you support small local businesses we reward everyone who works within them. 🍺

We would like to show a massive amount of appreciation to everyone who attended the Acle Primary School FOSA fete yesterday ❤️

Delayed opening of 1 hour paid off. It was still a very warm evening but nothing compared to the sweltering temperature during the afternoon.

Massive shout out to all the volunteers 👌

Massive shout out to everyone who joined us and enjoyed the event.

Finally a massive shout out to all our brewery friends who interrupt their busy schedules to supply us with top quality b**rs and ciders.
